We made reservations here online prior to a trip to NYC. We chose Bouley after searching reviews and the online menu from the website. The resaurant is nicely decorated and the staff were extremely attentive and helpful with detailed answers about the menu. We chose the tasting menu without the wine tasting. Every course was incredible. We enjoyed every morsel... more

This restaurant decor is elegant and the food (lunch) is superb. I have to say, though, that the service was average--long delays in getting food, had to ask for a second cup of coffee, had to ask for the check. If you go, please keep in mind that they have wonderful complimentary amuse bouches--small deserts between dinner and desert and... more

Bouley has finally gone back to his roots and set up his restaurant in a location separate from the bakery, much like the "old" Bouley. Great meal, great service, and lots of room in comfortable chairs. Now Bouley may be able to give Chantarelle a run for its money as the best restaurant downtown. That said, bring plenty of dough.... more

We were disappointed with Bouley on several levels. Overall the restaurant seemed to be trying to exude old world charm, but didn't quite get there. Looked a bit run down, and too many pungent flowers suffocating and overwhelming the smells of the food. The food, while interesting, was nothing particularly exciting and the foie gras was so badly done (and... more

My wife and I had been devotees of Monsieur Bouley for many years, but we have reached the end of the road. To give him the benefit of the doubt, it would appear that with the expansion of his theme restaurants, he has shown little patience or interest in service or quality at his flagship restaurant in New York. During... more

We recently dined at Bouley with friends, to celebrate our anniversaries. The restaurant is quite handsome and very comfortable. The food was excellent and the service was perfect. We all ordered the tasting menu & also ordered the wine to complement the tasting menu. To explain what I mean by perfect service, the staff was unobtrusive, but always available and... more

There is no question that this is an up-scale pricey restaurant but I really liked the ambience and the service. The staff was very polite and since it was our anniversary, they even gave us a complimentary dessert and much more. I'd only recommend this place if you want to have a nice candle light dinner with your loved one... more
