Be prepared for an actively, lively atmosphere. Young and vibrant. Terrific neighbourhood. I suggest a roof-top bar for cocktails and then a walk to Indochine for dinner. Food was terrific. Service fun & freindly. Given noise & chatter, its probably best for no more than 2-3 couples...

It should have been better, we had heard great reviews over the years. Unfortunately I think it's still hanging on to the reputation it had in its heyday. In its favour, the vintage wallpaper and authentic French Vietnamese menu do convey a theme. However, it hasn't moved with the times, it's tired, and even our very helpful waiter couldn't lift... Wife and I dropped by for a late night meal and weren't disappointed. Service was attentive and the food was awesome. I had the duck and my wife had the Sea Bass - everything was delicious. I was a bit concerned about my attire, we had been out all day and I was in shorts, but nobody seemed to care.... More

We went as a group of 4 yesterday, as part of restaurant week. Right next to Astor Pl, Washington Sq and the Theatre, Indochine is located in a great area. It has a dark ambience with a bar onsite. The staff is friendly and helpful. The menu is a mix of traditional Vietnamese cuisine as well as some items with... More

With its banana leaf wall designs, potted palms, colorful tropical flowers and small bar, Indochine offers that perfect New York experience away from the maddening throngs of midtown. It is simply a little haven of good food and service (in our case, sangria, rose, kale salad, vegetable rolls, crispy snapper and coconut curry sole with jasmine rice). Nothing loud or... More

Good service but were really too packed . We could not even talk ....too noisy. For this price they should not stick so many tables together!

Visited with friends and family on my birthday. Seating is a bit tight, yes, but the food and atmosphere makes you forget any negatives. It was completely full within 20 minutes of us getting there, and this was on a Monday evening! Service was attentive, prompt and polite. We had Crab Cakes, Ribs and Shrimp Rolls to start with and... Cool location, good food but not overly fantastic or overly eclectic. Very tight seating. Bad service. Priced very high (higher than Keen's Steak House which was fabulous!)???? Overrated.
