Brilliant food, very noisy and arrogant maitre d'

You can't get away from the fact that the food is outstanding. Spoiled for choice menu everything we ate was superb. However Indochine suffers from the New York curse of a very noisy dining room where conversation is difficult, crowded tables almost on top of each other and a maitre d' who seats... read more

A group of us went for a prearranged dinner. The food was very good, the service was efficient. However, the noise level stifled attempts at conversation, which was my only disappointment.

I was a guest here, and totally underwhelmed. First of all, reservations had been made because we were a party of about 9 or 10, there for a birthday dinner celebration. And it was early, after a show across the street. And yet...they kept us waiting for our table for nearly 40 minutes around 7pm. Most New Yorkers haven't evened... More

Was part of a large group on a busy Saturday night. The server was very attentive to the group. The food was excellent. Was a fun place with good energy.

Loved everything about this place. We had a large group (9 of us) and our server was great and attentive. I had the Ravioli to start and then the Hanger Steak which was absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend this place.

My friends and I had a table of 9 at this restaurant on a Saturday night. It exceeded expectations. The food was amazing and the atmosphere even better. From the wait staff to the kitchen staff everyone clearly is experienced. I had the crab cakes which were to die for and had the hanger steak for dinner. It was the... More

Indochine is one of my favorite restaurants in NYC. Its a fashion industry staple. Always deliscious meals, yummy cocktails and a super chic scene. This is a locals spot - the movers and shakers in the fashion and design world. A guaranteed good time.

At the recommendation of my hotel concierge, I dined at Indochine during a recent weeknight. I showed up unexpectedly early and was able to wait at the bar while taking in the environment. The crowd was a mix of pretentious and those out having a fun night. The music is incredibly loud with pretty low lighting. The sea bass was... More
