Good burger but didn't live up to hype

We booked a 9:30 table on a Friday night. Place was entirely packed with bar area also buzzing. I was pleased to see that our table was ready on arrival. Decor of restaurant is old school and reflects the restaurants longer history. Crowd is younger, trendy well to do New Yorkers. We ordered a... read more

This was my first time. I really like the original Tavern decor. The setting of this place is great. I ordered the Black Label Burger which was great. The correct and only way as it should be ordered was medium rare. The burger had a perfect tenderness and juiciness to it with the addition of topped caramelized onions. The quantity... More

I love burgers. I have a blog about them. This was one of the tastiest burgers I have ever had. Nice restaurant too, great service and the salads to start were delicious. The Black Label burger was awesome

My husband and I were looking forward to dining at Minetta Tavern this past Saturday. We had seen a special on The Food Network regaling the superiority of flavor in their Black Label Burger that peaked our interest. We were seated in a lovely corner booth in the bar area. We were in a celebratory state of mind! We ordered... More

I spent my birthday in NYC and for lunch my wife treated me with a Black Label Burger. Can't finish to describe how my mouth became a circus of taste! Best burger in NYC for sure!

Hands down, one of the best meals I've had! Heirloom tomato salad was fresh with an artist's swirl of goat cheese and I believe pesto around the inner bowl. The roasted bone marrow was heavenly with massive split bones topped with parsley and we added a nice dollop of the shallot jam on top. We split the veal porterhouse chop... More

If you're reading this you've probably already read about the Black Label Burger. Go to Minetta, get the burger and enjoy beef nirvana. One of the best burgers I've ever had. The guys beside us got the cote de boeuf and it was massive. Looked delicious too...came with massive bone marrow portions too. Makes for a great dinner prior to... More

After reading some of the reviews before going to Minetta Tavern, I was really hoping I wasn't wasting my time. However, I went ahead and maintained my reservation and had a pretty good experience. I had the black label burger and added cheddar cheese. (I had it cooked medium.) I loved the flavor of the meat and also enjoyed the... More
