This last visit it was particularly delicious....bone marrow was fantastic, the dressed prawns were a bit dry or over cooked but the vegetables made up for it...lemony and great, a friend had the roast chicken...so tender and tasty Service was impecable Room a bit noisy but then it was a saturday... This is an obvious example of a Soho restaurant. Minetta Tavern has a great history, however, when they converted it to French Bistro (a few years ago) it lost its charm. Expect to pay $15 - $20 for a glass of wine, appetizers and entree wayyyyy over priced. I have been to various fine diners in Soho, and price quality... More

The black label burger has to be tasted to be believed. The place itself is also really cool and the staff are excellent.

The ambiance and neighborhood is great at night. The hamburguer is good, but not the best I had, far from that.

The first impression of the tavern from the outside was not one of the best. Although in a very nice area of the West Village the restaurant looks a bit shabby from the outside b When walking in though the feeling is different. The restaurant is warm and cozy. He cocktails are excellent, especially the house specialities. The food is... More

The food was delicious. Great American food. Staff very kind and polite. Very busy place, loud costumers with a bar atmosphere. Recommended if you want to scape the tourist routine.

Only a novice cook would make the mistake of under-seasoning a $28 hamburger and over-salting a salad. I don't know who was cooking the day I went, but I certainly will never be back.

Claimed one of the best burgers in town. I'm not a big fan of hamburgers, but this one is indeed special, thick patty, perfectly grilled, lots of flavour. If you add cheese is even better!

Staying in Greenwich Village

Neighborhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighborhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighborhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
