We had walked across the Brooklyn Bridge and into Tribeca. Our friends recommended this place and at 11:00pm why not try it. We sat on the sidewalk. The service was perfect. An Italian head waiter, who took our order and supervised a half dozen servers who made sure our water glasses were never empty and everything arrived on time and... More

Very tiny restaurant in Tribeca. Has outdoor seating with two tables outside by the main door. We sat at the corner table outside upstairs. It was very private and quiet but was just a little cramped. However, we selected this table because of the privacy. Our waiter was extremely friendly and from Italy. We had a daily special salad of... More

Pepolino is a small restaurant in Tribeca that is owned by 2 guys from Italy. Both times we have been here we have been waited on by young men from Italy. They were both very personable & loved explaining items on the menu. You feel as if you have been transported to Florence when dining here. The tomato flan they... More

I had a salad and a pasta dish. Most of their pasta are home made except for one. They cared enough to let me know which one. It was a nice summer day and I sat outside by the sidewalk. Very nice and quaint. Food came fast and was very nice. Service was friendly and attentive with good recommendations. Will... More

Ate here recently for dinner and had the veal ragu and a daily special of ricotta stuffed figs, prosciutto, and salad. The ricotta stuffed figs were amazing, fresh sweet figs with a subtle ricotta cream. That mixed well with the salty prosciutto and salad. The veal ragu was good, with properly cooked noodles and a good veal ragu. I have... More

Beautiful day in NYC! Happened upon a cute little cafe with an inviting sidewalk. We enjoyed ice cold Peroni beer and an appetizer of fried calamari and shrimp--lightly dusted in cornmeal, tender and hot on a bed of diced tomatoes in olive oil, basil and garlic. Server was very friendly!

Four of us dined at Pepolino last night. The food was extraordinary--some of the best I've had since dining in Tuscany last fall. Whatever you choose, don't miss at least a half portion of pasta. There are lots of choices including braised rabbit and wild boar. Now, that's authentic Italian. And there are plenty of salads, entrees, and desserts to... More

Great food! impressed with the quality and freshness, over exceeded my expectations. Had the Bruschette with italian sausage & stracchino cheese gratin - delish! As well as the polenta which was amazing. Main course: Spinach & ricotta gnocchi in a butter & sage sauce - great, fresh and perfect flavor. The chicken was also very taste with tasty spinach. Avert your eyes from the traffic outside, and you'll think you are in a country restaurant in Tuscany or Umbria. Taste the food and the impression will be reinforced. My wife and I celebrated our 44th wedding anniversary there this evening, and found both food and service to be outstanding, and even better than the already wonderful meals we have... More

Invited here for a colleague's birthday dinner. It was cold outside, but one entered into warmth, in every sense. Friendly service, remarkably good food. Not too noisy, so that conversation was possible. I had the "sformato di spinaci", a spinach soufflé, and the fish of the day (I think it was mackerel, but am not sure), which was miraculous. The...
