Following a long and tedious train journey from Montreal we were faced with the prospect of the noisy bar at our nearby hotel or elsewhere. Our concierge appreciating our plight directed us to Pepolino. Thank goodness he did. No booking, 9 pm on a Sunday night, no problem. We were made very welcome and threaded with patience while we familiarised... More

Every single time we visit we are treated like family. The food is authentic Italian. No glam, no bells and whistles. Plain GOOD food.

Girlfriends and I chose this place for dinner because it was close to hotel and recommended by concierge. No reservations about 35 minute wait on Saturday night around 8pm. Restaurant has great ambiance and romantic feel. Our server was very charming and friendly. I was disappointed with my meal. I went with the Tagliolini al limone which was basic and... More

What an amazing dining experience! The service was terrific, the atmosphere was great, the food was amazing! The pasta with lemon zest and cream was delicious. The mussels in butter were terrific. The shrimp were totally delicious. The panna cotta was nothing like we have ever had eaten. The wines were terrific as were the mixed drinks. Totally loved this... More

This place is my favorite restaurant anywhere. I go every time I am in New york. It is ALWAYS consistent and I have never had a bad meal. Everything is delicious. We start with the focaccia and the tomato flan. We order the spinach soufflé, the mista verde salad. For main course I get the tortelini special or the tagliata... More

We ate here with friends at a table outside. They waiter was in a BIG hurry to take our order. Well, my order arrived completely different than how it was explained to me by our waiter. It came with a heavy "alfredo" sauce, and I do not eat this kind of sauce. The owner came over and said "eat this... More

Side street quiet and nice Italian place. Pleasant staff, good meal. Soup and Carpaccio were both authentic in my opinion.

I am from Rome, born in Rome, and know very well how is difficult to find real italian meal out of my country. The Chef of Pepolino is italian and the dishes too, so you suddenly feel at home (in Italy of course), tasting excellent food in the hart of the big apple. The service has been fast and very... Staying in TriBeCa

Neighborhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighborhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighborhood home.
