Great Little Gem

We found this little spot on a recent trip to NYC. It was within walking distance to our hotel and it was charming. The staff was very friendly and very attentive, the host was wonderful! He may have been one of the owners, and we loved him. Great specials, great service and the food was fantastic... read more

Not only was the food great, but the service wa nothing but top class. The atmosphere was that of a quaint Italian restaurant that I picture Italy. Every dish, including there appetizers were fantastic. Well worth the trip if you are anywhere near.

We had found out about Pepolino's prior to our trip to NYC and visited for an early supper after a long day sightseeing. The ambience struck us immediately; cosy & relaxed. We were really welcomed by charming staff who couldn't do enough to make our time there as good as possible. The menu is made up of authentic Tuscan dishes... More

My husband and I celebrated my birthday with a late lunch at Pepolino. We ordered salads for appetizers. I had the roasted beets with mixed greens. It was a very tasty salad. It's a dish I would add to my recipes and serve the next time I host a dinner party. My main course was the farotto of the day... More

I recently took a client to Pepolino (my first visit). It was some of the best Italian food I've had since last summer when I was in Rome. The cacio e pepe was perfect and I highly recommend it as a first course (half order or split it). My client at the large steak which he said was perfect. Nice... More

Wandered in for lunch and had the best meal we had on our trip to New York City. I had an amazing fish special and everyone else loved their meal. Just a great place.

Pepolino has been around for quite some time now and continues to be my favorite Italian restaurant in NY. I'm there about 6 times a year. It is well located near a number of subway lines and is easy to get to from NJ as well as all parts of the city. The service is always spot-on with the team... More

Perfect location if you are staying at Sheraton Tribeca, just around the corner. Had dinner here two times during our stay in NY, same impression on both occations. First time the place was crowded buth they quickly managed making room for our group of eight. Excellent service, great taste. No problem splitting the bill. Next time it was closing time,... More

Friendly and efficient staff. Pace of service was perfect - neither rushed nor dragged out. Terrific starters and pasta dishes. Atmosphere is really nice too - the room reminded me of a nice country inn. Really set the stage for the fettucine and rabbit, which was just terrific. Make sure to leave room for desert though - especially the ricotta... More

Neighborhood Profile
TriBeCa
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighborhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighborhood home.
