Excellent service very warm and friendly efficient staff. The food is very, very good almost like Italy. Very nice salads and pasta is superb. I had lamb chops with an excellent risotto. Only downside was the overly sauced balsamic reduction. Could have used half as much. We also had the steak Florentine and it was large and excellent. Very nice... More

Looks like a hole in the wall but this place is amazing. I have been twice, and both times the food was incredible. Had the pasta with wild boar ragu which came with tomato aspic as a condiment for the bread. Dear God. Also, they talked me into the second glass of wine and the cheesecake (this is easy to... More

A good friend of mine had informed me about this place. It was easy to located off the E train on the subway from midtown and wow- she was correct. The place is a gem and our service was spot on. I had the Veal Ragu and it was some of the best I've ever had. The Beet Salad to... More

Before being seated I asked: "do you have vegan options?" Answer: "yes, of course". Once seated, In fact just one option, not much flexibility and the portion and the price happened to be French nouvelle cuisine inspired. Service, ordinary.

My wife and I stopped by for lunch before an afternoon meeting. I had the lasagna special and my wife had a the risotto special, we shared a Bufala e Pomodori. The salad came out quick and the ingredients were fresh and tasty. The lasagna came out hot and was really delicious. My wife liked the risotto but didn't think... More

Been here a number of times. Always a treat. The meat balls are the best ever, but the steak dishes are also fab. My wife was with me on this trip. She tried the sea bass. She loved it. If you are in this part of town, don't miss a visit here.

This was our second visit to Pepolino and it did not disappoint. Some unusual selections and all three of us thought it was great. Sit upstairs and you will be reminded of being in Tuscany - they even play great Italian music!

This place is great! The food is yummy, the service is nice, and it feels like a warm family place. I've been on a cold day and just walking inside and smelling the delicious food will make you hungry. Enjoy the pasta!

Staying in TriBeCa

Neighborhood Profile
What’s in a name? In this case it is the unique title of “Triangle Below Canal Street” that became a popular nickname in the 1970s. An attractive neighborhood filled with handsome lofts on the edge of the Financial District, this lovely slice of Manhattan offers plenty of fine dining experiences and art galleries. Plus, it’s home to the city’s most exciting film event, the Tribeca Film Festival, that takes place here every year. TriBeCa is a great place to take a leisurely stroll before stopping into one of the many local restaurants or bars for a satisfying meal and cocktail. You’ll see families out for an afternoon walk, and don’t be surprised to come up with the occasional celebrity sighting. With such a great vibe, many of the city’s most famous residents call this neighborhood home.
