This ice cream joint is fabulous! Very simple looking from the outside, the magic inside will send your taste buds into creamery heaven. A self proclaimed ice cream fanatic, I tasted two flavors the first night I visited Bleecher St., and walked out with a waffle cone filled with both of those flavors plus my old stand by, mint chocolate... My son was very taken by this place as we walked by. Nothing special as it looks like any other ice cream or gelato place. He got the mint chocolate chip. It is pretty pricey but I chalked it up to NYC and homemade. It was fresh mint and didn't have that fake taste. I actually got a few bites... More

There was an assortment of sorbets in addition to unique flavors of ice cream. As the title indicates, we chose the corn ice cream. The other flavor that was interesting was sweet potato and brie. If you're looking for vanilla ice cream, stop by your local grocery store. Otherwise, hit up this ice cream shop.

There are many good places for gelato in New York, but as far as I'm concerned none surpass Cones. If you're willing to travel off the beaten path, get the Corn gelato. It may sound odd, but it tastes amazing. And it's not just the gelato that's first-rate, there's also amazing sorbet. Pick whatever fruit is in season (blueberry is... More

In the heart of Greenwich Village, on Bleeker Street, this place make artisanal "Argentine gelato" that is 100% gluten free and 100% delicious. We aren't sure what "Argentine gelato" might be or how it differs from other kinds of gelato....and we don't care. It's great stuff. We were here after lunch.

Hoo-ha! Expensive (something like $4.50 for a cup of ice cream) but truly delicious! Try the dulce de leche (the owner is from Argentina, home of that great flavor). Bright sunny setting to sit and enjoy really rich and delicious ice cream (life is too short to settle for crummy ice cream!).

Very friendly service. Unique flavors you are encouraged to sample. Ice cream is creamy and satisfying. Loved the coffee mocha chip and dark chocolate. Definitely worth the trip.

No reason not to try this place. Lots of fun and unique choices. Will not disappoint. Prices comparable to other similar ice cream and gelato places. Will be back!

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
