Annisa in Greenwich Village

Annisa was fabulous. I always wanted to try rabbit and trusted Top Chef Master's Anita Lo for my first time trying it. It was served it two ways, one minced to top a crostini and the other rolled with spinach and fennel and fried. It was delicious. It seems to me that rabbit is a very sustainable... read more

ANOTHER MEMORABLE EVENING AT ANNISA This was my fourth visit to Annisa, and the restaurant did not disappoint. We were warmly greeted and treated throughout the evening. Logan was his usual charming self whether serving or managing the restaurant. Jeremy was so knowledgeable about the menu and the wines. He made stellar recommendations and was very attentive. John was pleasant... More

Nice decor, minimalist, but nice! Get the banquette in the rear of the restaurant. Interesting & different menu. Appetizers of foies goie dumplings & crispy oysters were different. Entrees of blue fish, chicken, and black cod were excellent. What sets this place apart is the unusualness of the preps. Sticky date pudding & beignets were so-so. Excellent service.

The restaurant is neat, clean, quiet, and serves some of the finest dishes we have had the pleasure to try. Four foodies and each one was more pleased than the other. Beautifully presented by staff that has the entire menu memorized with perfect details of what is being served. We each had an appetizer. Steak tartar - perfect. Dumplings -... More

We finally had the pleasure of dining at Annisa on a recent trip to NYC, The experience was one of, if not the best, dinner we have had in New York. We were greeted immediately with a smile at the front door and taken to a cozy table in a smallish very cozy and nicely appointed restaurant. Our waiter was... More

It says something when Zagat ranks the food at Annisa higher than Thomas Keller's Per Se and I have eaten at both. Chef Lo is a marvelous chef at her comfortable outpost in Greenwich Village. It is small, cozy and intimate with superb service and marvelous food preparation. Do yourself a favor and put this gem on your bucket list.

My wife and I just returned from the 6 course special tasting dinner at Annisa. It is very unusual for the Chef to be able to make each course special and equally delicious. But the Chef at Annisa hit the mark each and every time. Everything was superbly delicious and the wine pairings were perfect. Just another fantastic dining experience... More

We read all the review and at Annisa they took all in account and made all the changes suggested by people who wrote on Tripadvisor. We couldn't order the tasting menu as we didn't have enough time so we order à la carte. Portion size generous and food is outstanding. Read the menu online before booking, we ate all kind... More

Tucked away in the Christopher Square are, this lovely restaurant is a gem. Offering a wonderful cocktail selection to begin the festivities, this culinary palace is a shrine to foodies of any persuasion. Had we eaten lunch earlier (and next time we will), I would have gotten the 7 course tasting rather than the 5 in order to give ourselves... More

I've been here many times to enjoy the excellent food and great service. Annisa is a wonderful place for an intimate dinner, with a nice choice of fish, wines, and sake. Don't miss the chocolate malt dessert if it's on the menu!

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
