We were surprised when we arrived at the restaurant to see that the city has awarded it a B rating for its cleanliness and other health practices by the city of New York. We hesitated at the door Should we go in and honor our reservation made on Open table or to just cancel it. It was late so we... More

Brilliant, Brilliant food. My better half and I kept trying to get in here on our trips to NYC and we finally made it in March. The food was quite stunning--if you don't have the foie gras soup dumpling, you might as well just turn around and walk back out the door. This is truly a hidden gem in the... More

Annisa is a very small difficult to find interesting fusion restaurant in west Greenwich Village. The service was perfect and the main courses not exactly generous, only slightly larger than the tasting menu. My wife and I did not have the tasting menu as we have different food allergies and can almost never have tasting menus if they are for... More

We had another amazing meal at Annisa. The restaurant has a calm warm interior with only a few tables. Must make reservations. The service is professional, friendly and not rushed. We did the 5 course tasting menu. The portions were not so large to leave you too full. All plates were well presented and delicious. I loved the soup dumpling... More

My wife and I had the Five Course Chef's Tasting Menu. We really appreciated the delicacy and harmony of tastes and textures of each of the courses. In the delicious Black Sea Bass Sashimi, the trout roe and yuzu pearls burst like tiny fireworks of flavors, perfectly complimented by the shiso. All the dishes were superb, the staff were very... Of course, I had seen Chef Lo on Top Chef Masters and always thought her food was interesting and enticing. Then after visiting our favorite osteria in Rome, Chef Bauerman said she had just returned from a NYC conference with Anita Lo. So on a recent trip to NYC we booked a table. The place is in the West Village,... More

Food is outstanding. Don't miss the dumplings with seared foie gras--among the best things I have ever eaten.

The atmosphere is charming and simply elegant. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The menu is limited but very unique and creative. We selected an array of appetizers and entrees and enjoyed are own unique tasting menu. From the begin to the end is was a very magical experience. I would highly recommend not to be missed.
