What a great restaurant. I've waited a long time to be able to fit a reservation into my timing and theirs. The menu had me in a tizzy. I could have eaten each of the items, however the pris fixe menu was not to my liking. We had a divine dinner, sharing a little of each other's choices and were... More

My husband & I enjoyed our 11th year Wedding Anniversary @ Mas and could not have had a more pleasant dining experience. This intimate, farm to table establishment was quite romantic and did not disappoint. The ambiance was perfectly dimmed for our occasion. Everyone was very welcoming & the service was superb! We opted for the Chef's Tasting menu and... More

Week in the city with Mom for her birthday. Met up here with long list cousin for dinner. Great time. Choices of pris fixe, a la carte or tasting menu ( think a French version of omikazi). Food, wine, service and ambience all perfect. Plenty full without being so loud you can't have a conversation. Warm interior and attentive service... More

An unassuming entrance opens into a small bar area with a receptionist. It seems a little stiff at first but then everything gets relaxed. The tables are small and intimate, service is pleasant and friendly, and the food is well cooked, presented and served. Some portions were quite large, a tuna starter would have served two people for example. I... More

Based on the number of positive reviews here (and elsewhere), we must have come here on an off night. Other than the soup (which was truly wonderful), the food ranged from disappointing to awful. We went for the full tasting with wine pairing, and about halfway through asked them to just, please stop. Two dishes were awful, and the fish... More

This is a really relaxing and cute place, in a nice downtown part of NYC. Charming people and outstanding service. I can't overstate how pleasant they are, how gracious but not over the top, and how attentive but down to earth. The food: I'd give a solid B+. Tuna appetizer was outstanding, out of this world (though i was starving…so... More

This is a well kept secret, but not to the natives. Reservations are a must to this classy, intimate restaurant with impeccable service, fantastic wine selection, and market fresh. Menus. The five course tasting menu offers small portions of the most delectable foods prepared with skill and it standing presentation. If you would prefer something other than on the tasting... More

This place is ridiculous. Pompous NYC service with overrated and overpriced food. The dessert and "field of greens" was a complete joke. $125 for 1 person-how this place is ranked so high is beyond me. The chicken was good but not $45 good. No mas!

ate here with my wife for our anniversary while in NYC for a weekend. we each had the $88 tasting menu, which the restaurant allows quite a bit of flexibility on. (you are allowed to substitute items from the a la carte section of the menu for the tasting menu choices - first time I've seen this and it's a... More

I'm surprised with all the praises for this place because it was just ok for me. We had the tasting menu which started with pork belly salad -- the flavors were there but I was expecting crispy pork belly. Then we had the gnocchi which was delicious but not ground-breaking delicious. Then we had the flying pig with truffle which... More
