A really nice intimate café type restaurant, good service and the food was lovely. Our first night in New York and we really enjoyed it.

I really do love this place. We meet here at least once a year for our wine club's "make-it-hurt night". Thus, we're all bringing a good or memorable bottle of wine to share. The restaurant elt's us take our time, catch up with old friends and just enjoy ourselves. The food is excellent and the service is great. I can't... More

My experience pretty much reflects the other reviews. Friends who live nearby brought us here. Small, intimate, cozy, dark, very friendly, and ample portions. We had four different dishes, and there were thumbs up on all. Food choices on the heavy side, but two vegetarians were not disappointed. Heads up: cash only.

Great food, amazing service, reasonable prices, and you can bring your own bottle of wine. What more can you ask for? Oh, you should try their spicy chicken. Delicious!

Until we stumbled on Tartine we feared the West Village had been conquered by precious touristy cafes with long lines and higher prices. We lucked out here. A cozy table for 2 was waiting for us in the corner. Within a couple minutes we had a perfectly drawn cappuccino and latte sitting in front of us. Brunch was superb: Eggs... More

I had heard a lot about Tartine and decided to try it out for a week day lunch. I ordered their "famous" spicy chicken and my friend ordered the gnocchi. Although the restaurant was only half full it took a good 30 mins to get our food and it was honestly terrible. The spicy chicken had no spice and was... More

Yup, at this casual French bistro in the West Village you bring your own wine. Their food is pretty good and the service is fairly prompt. We had dinner there with a friend for the second time. It is now the Fall so we were inside. Small space and not a lot of tables. If you want to be seated... More

Had a nice lunch here. Service very friendly, though a bit slow, food very nice, especially the salads. You can bring your own wine (wish we'd known that!)

We cabbed here from Farmer Joe`s with a bag selection of wines and were seated immediately. It`s tight, but the atmosphere was perfect, dark and loud, the place was alive. We had some Crouton with cheese and caramelized everything, escargot, and a Kale Salad to start, all was well and kicked the stomach to life. Wine, wine, wine, etc, main... More
