Dropped in for a final meal in NY. Fun place to eat. We we amazed with the explanation given for a couple of the dishes. Probably the best explanations I have ever heard!! The waiter then provided excellent guidance in regards to a cow dairy allergy. The food was very good, and quite ample!! The wine was good. All in... More

My son and I dined at Babbo's to celebrate the beginning of his career in NYC. The first table we were seated at was not to my liking, and we were immediately moved upstairs to a delightfully situated table. Our waiter was very professional, and absolutely charming. He suggested several exciting new dishes for us to try, and everything was... More

The pasta tasting was so fun! I love anything with pasta and carbs so I was super excited. Each tasting was interesting and delicious! The atmosphere was nice and there was a pleasant hum of conversation. Service was excellent!

The service at Babbo is unlike any other restaurant we have been to. All of the staff is attentive to each guest at each table - not just the assigned table. The waiters are very helpful when you are choosing between dishes. Very hesitant to try the fried octopus, but our waiter suggested I try it over my other choice.... More

Went to Babbo on first ever trip to New York. Felt a bit intimidated at first but staff was great, helpful, and attentive. Wine list was very high end but enough variety for all tastes and budgets. Had squid pasta and bucatinni. Both were excellent. Would go back again. Make a reservation as early as possible (like a couple weeks... More

We visited this restaurant as a special birthday treat for one of the party. I don't eat meat but do eat fish, but when asked if the tasting menu could be altered to accommodate this I was met with a very curt and abrupt "I don't think that will work for you tonight"! Given this is a Michelin starred restaurant... More

Nice table, were seated within 15 minutes of getting there but it was a 10:45 reservation. Atmosphere and decor are very nice. Surprised to see the host still there after so many poor reviews! Food was good but average. I don't think you get better quality of food or service here that you couldn't get at Lupa. Lupahas a better... More

We couldn't get a reservation before 8:45 PM and thought the crowd would be dying, but the place was packed and they were sitting new guests as we were leaving near 11PM. This place is hopping (this was on a Monday night!). The menu is extensive and unusual and everything we had was awesome. But the prices for the outstanding... More

We had a delicious meal at this hidden gem! The menu offered many selections with varied tastes. The service was a little slow. The wine sommelier was very knowledgeable and great to chat with! We were celebrating the birthday of both my husband and friend, they delivered a great dessert complete with one pink and one blue candle! Bravo Babbo!... More

Staying in Greenwich Village

Neighborhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighborhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighborhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
