While visiting NYC we dined at some lovely restaurants. Aquagrill topped the list. It was much better in everyway over LeBernardin (the 4.5 Star French restaurant) in the theater district. At Aquagrill the Oysters were fabulous and I enjoyed the Chilean Sea Bass. It is a must dining experience. Excellent service by Mark and the bartender made delicious pomegranate martinis.... More

Got the lunchtime special - half a dozen oysters, clam chowder and salad for 25 dollars. Very tasty and good value, would not hesitate to recommend. Lunchtime kitchen closes at 3pm but they were happy to take my order at 2:50. Wine was good, but as with almost everywhere in New York it was expensive. 15 dollars or so for... More

If you are an oyster lover, as I am, this is your place in Manhattan. Forget about Grand Central Station Oyster Bar, and specially forget about the horrible, horrible, horrible, horrible John Dory Restaurant (nice decoration, excellent background music, less than poor and terrible service)... I specially recommend sitting at the bar, if only to enjoy the almost perfect work... More

My mother and a friend capped off a lovely weekend trip to NYC with dinner at Aquagrill. We had some confusion on dates and times that resulted in me having to change our reservation and the young woman (who's name I wish I could remember, she was so sweet) who dealt with me could not have been nicer or more... Celebrating a birthday I took a group to this wonderful restaurant. The custom tower was exactly what we asked for. The lobster was tender and sweet. Crab legs were superb. We got four different oysters and I found I liked the west coast ones better. The mussels with Dijon sauce was heavenly. Octopus appetizer was grilled perfectly. We each got... More

We really loved the oysters and the wide selection from east to west coast, Canada and all around. Having just spent the spring in Normandy and Brittany where we indulged in oysters everyday we thought this might be a bit of tasty nostalgia. The oysters were delicious. In France they tell you the size of the oyster on the menu,... More

I would have given this another 'excellent' review, and the food in my view is worthy of this level of commendation, but one downside of our visit this time is the fact that oysters are sold separately and not by the dozen, this pushes the prices up if you like your oysters as much as we do! Other than that,... More

We went to this restaurant because we had heard good reports, and the place was packed. We were seated in the outside area which was a relief as it was a bit noisy & claustrophobic inside. I was disappointed with the quality of the seafood. I had scallops which were large but a bit chewy. Overall we thought what was... More

Had to start with a combination of excellent cherrystone clams and blue point oysters. They have a daily insert for oysters which on the day we were there, they had 26 different types and the daily specials. Excellent cocktail sauce and mignonette sauce. For entrees, I had the Bouillabaisse with Poached Cod, Shrimp, Mussels, Clams and Scallops in a Garlic... More
