This is my kind of place - a hole-in-the-wall restaurant (in the basement, no less) with very good food, large portions and a friendly owner (Moshe) (yes, he is Yemenite) who does the cooking. I spent many hours in such a place in that neighborhood in Manhattan many years ago (it was Turkish). My wife liked the chicken shawarma. I... More

Very unassuming, with small seating room where no more than 14 people can be accommodated. No waiters, but you can order and pick up your food at the counter. Once you are OK with the above, you can expect a very authentic and tasty yemenite food, hearty soups (make sure you ask fpr "marak regel") with amazingly fresh baked bread,... More

This is a very small place with a few tables and wonderful food. The staff care about the food and your experience, casual as it may be. We had lamb laffa with salad bar. The falafel balls themselves... More

It's small on the inside so there's not a whole lot of seating room (maybe 7 tables), but the food is great and there's a good selection and so reasonably priced and the waitstaff is extremely nice. I highly recommend it.
