Dinner across from the park.

The service here is wonderful - extremely attentive - and the menu is typical Italian with some chic flair.

The food is just not that good for the price, the decor look outdated and just not up to par. We ordered the special, which was a risotto with black truffles for $70 and for that price it was bland and really not just to worth the money. You won't run out but there are better places for the money.

Loved breakfast, lunch and dinner here. Superb veal chops, loved the seafood salad and wonderful gelato. Gorgeous and modern presentation of the dishes. Deserves a bigger crowd.

The decor is plush and quiet. You can actually have a conversation, an increasing rarity in NYC. The food is elegant without being fussy. The service is gracious. It's the perfect combination. We don't understand why this restaurant isn't packed every night but we're glad it isn't because it is so delightful.

The food at Sirio is decent, but it is not worth the high prices. The décor is also not nice enough to justify the cost. The service was stellar. There are better options nearby in Manhattan for Italian food and the only reason to eat here is that if you are a guest at the Pierre Hotel it is convenient.

We enjoyed a midday brunch here and found the food and service to be very good. Our fav dishes were savory rissotto and seafood dishes, and some breakfast meats. An interesting collaboration.

I had lunch here twice while staying at the Pierre. The style is modern Italian and cooked with considerable accuracy. I enjoyed a very good pea risotto which was correctly al dente and full of flavour. I also had a simple pollo millanese which again was perfectly prepared. The room is bright and there is reasonable space between the tables... More

Excellent food and superior wait staff. All courses were well timed and food was well received by all. My steak was cooked to perfection and each course stood well on its own. Recommended for business meals or with friends. Sure to return.

Wait staff was attentive, friendly and had a good sense of humor. We had the 7 course chef's grand tasting menu and each unique course was excellent. The meal was perfectly timed between courses, not rushed. My husband and I would do this again next season when we were told the tasting menu will change. Come hungry as you will... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
