A repeat performance. Having dined here several times, we have not been disappointed nor has the restaurant failed to keep up it high level of service and quality. Located in the Pierre Hotel we wonder if some potential visitors are afraid that "hotel" dining is somehow too expensive or a lower quality because one is not expected back. Observation tells... The location in the Pierre is good, the servers very professional and good at what they do. The food not so good, dry Dover Sole, tasteless salad, tiny branzino but the veal chop was perfect. Although the almost uncooked turnip or squash was not. The bar with its expert barman and ambience was the best part of the restaurant. It is not... More

This restaurant was the perfect spot for lunch while visiting NYC. We found this restaurant on TripAdvisor and decided to give it a try. We were a party of 6 and were looking for something quick, delicious and not outrageously priced before heading to the Christmas Spectacular show. The food was AMAZING!!! I had the Siro salad and papparelle bolognese.... More

After our original booking at the Loeb Boathouse in Central Park (never go!) let us down, we made a last minute reservation for Christmas lunch at Sirio. I don't know how they were fully booked, as the meal was truly fantastic. The oxtail ravioli I started with were sumptious, as was my salmon main. The staff were friendly and professional,... More

I ate here a lot as it was attached to my hotel. The breakfasts were perfectly prepared and offered a comprehensive selection, from curries to the Full American - gorgeous bagels. Pasta and salad lunch was beautifully cooked - nut fusilli was amazing. Dinner was Michelin quality; wonderful steak and desserts - the apple cake and crema were fantastic. The... More

Great for lunch and snacks or after dinner drinks. Excellent Italian food especially salads and pizza (the thinnest crust we ever had!) We would try for dinner next time.

The wait staff at Sirio was professional, courteous, and accommodating. However, our meals were marginal at best. The seafood salad challenged me to search for the seafood and my wife's pasta was without taste. We departed disappointed. Our conclusion-you can only live off the family name for so long before it all starts to fall apart.

Dear john_m33155, Sirio Ristorante is more than just a name - it is a place where Italian food meets the relaxed, yet luxurious setting and service within The Pierre hotel. Visited to meet up with some friends I hadn't seen in years and Sirio was perfect place for it. The tables are large and comfortable, the restaurant relatively quiet and very easy to hold a conversation across the table. The food was fantastic, if only a little small on the portion size for the price. I would dine there again.

Ate here when it ws the Cafe Pierre and like what Sirio did when he took over and redid the space. His menu is light and well prepared and the service friendly., Choose it when few other options in the neighorhood open and never disappointed.

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
