“Sirio Ristorante is my chance to offer diners an opportunity to experience the cuisine that my family and I enjoy while dining out throughout Italy,” said Sirio Maccioni. “I’m looking forward to returning to The Pierre and sharing this part of my heritage with New Yorkers and visitors alike.” Executive Chef Massimo Bebber is overseeing the kitchen at Sirio Ristorante New York. Inspired by the high style aesthetic of 1960’s Italy, the restaurant recalls the classic Italian ristorante and casual elegance of Federico Fellini’s “La Dolce Vita.

Can only speak to the bar

Had a few cocktails here along with a meat and cheese board before dinner. Very friendly staff. I would defiantly come for a drink again, and would love to try dinner here. What i really enjoyed about the staff was that they didn't hover. We were one of only two groups sitting at the bar and they... read more

We went for an early dinner. Sat at the bar for happy hour. Drinks and oysters. Awesome. Tasted a funky Italian Birra that was on the happy hour menu. Delish. We were seated. 7 course tasting menu . Everything was wonderful. Staff is very friendly. Even though your at The Pierre you don't feel out of you league. It's an... More

The two of us ate twice in a 4 day period due to the convenience of being in our hotel (The Pierre) and not wanting to go outside in the cold. Both meals were good, but not great and the prices are reasonable for this part of NYC.

We thoroughly enjoyed Easter Sunday brunch at Sirio. The atmosphere is casual elegance and not “stuffy” for such an elegant hotel restaurant. The Egg dishes were marvelous, tasty and beautifully presented. The menu has pastas and seafood dishes which looked very tempting. We especially appreciated the very professional and friendly service which made the experience even better. The hostess was... More

Sirio is located in the lobby of the Pierre Hotel and since we were guest at the hotel it was an easy choice for dinner. Based on the available seating, the restaurant was only half full on a Saturday night, most people seem to know that it is just okay. Some dishes were perfectly prepared and delicious while others completely... More

We had lunch at the hotel, because it was raining outside. It's a little pricey, but the food was very good. My self and my associate had a salad, and the trout for lunch. First the bread is freshly made and was excellent. The salads were huge and also very good. We were both surprise how the trout was cooked... More

We were freezing and decided to come in and warm up with a few drinks. The staff were super friendly. Our bartender Miguel was a pleasure to talk to. I dined here while staying at the Pierre Hotel. I was pleasantly surprised how wonderful the food was and how professional and attentive the staff was. Everyone was friendly. It's at a busy pedestrian location but not a busy restaurant location, so I don't ever think this is too busy to get a table. The decor is beautiful and the service very good. We had a great meal at the Pierre's Sirio Ristorante... with one exception: my companion ordered a a salad with house-made burrata and radicchio that looked amazing but had virtually no flavor at all. I sampled it as well and had to agree with him. My appetizer, though (tuna tartare) was fantastic. A large portion as well. The entrées were... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
