stopped here as it was next to the Da Vinci hotel where I stayed for two days. Lovely setting inside, great wait staff. One of our party is vegan, and we had three different dishes and shared them among us three. They were all really very delicious.

I had the Chili chicken. It was excellent. My guests dishes were a little spicier than their preferences, but they still liked their meals. I'd ask ahead if you like milder fare. Just some something about an auto gratuity here. I hate those. Regardless, I added 20%.

Tasty and elaborate north indian lunch with good service near central park, New York. Specially the fresh bread and mango lassi were mouth watering.

I like the food here and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The group is definitely not well-versed in service but they try hard and do well. The are attentive. The food is consistently good.

I love Indian food and could not wait to find somewhere in the city for some great Indian food. First off I have to say the staff is so welcoming and very attentive. The cooks I don't know. My samosas I ordered just didn't do it for me. They looked over cooked and a weird mushy inside. I played safe... More

In town for a family wedding. We decided to try out Indian food and Benares was one of the better rated restaurants. They didn't disappoint. I had the lamb chops and they were fantastic. The others in my group enjoyed their food as well. One thing I would recommend is to ask the waiter how spicy each entree is. Two... More

This place was in walking distance from my hotel, Hilton Midtown. I'm new to Indian food, so usually order chicken masala. Their version was called chicken tika masala, but it was similar to what I've enjoyed at our local Indian restaurant, but the serving size was much larger. The atomosphere was very nice here, too. Restaurant was open until 10pm... More

Excellent service and food. We asked for something that was not on the menu, butter chicken, they said no worries and prepared it for us. Absolutely amazing! Would highly recommend and well worth the money.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
