Wonderful reasonable place for coffee, sushi, catered buffet, deli etc...

We arrived on a Sunday, having rushed to make a performance at the Jewish Museum. This Cucina was a welcome sight for a quick and inexpensive bite to tide us over til a later dinner. On a recent trip with my family to visit the 9-11 memorial and Statue of Liberty. We found Cucina and we were happy to have found it. Inside and outdoor seating very convenient for this area. Tons of food to choose from with great service and price. We had deli sandwiches and pizza and hot/cold salads.

I went for a breakfast sandwich and got nothing but a F@#k you and don't bother coming back! So, avoid this place like the Plague. Customer service is crap. The little chick at the register was rude has no customer service skills and a mouth like a truck driver. I called the manager and told him customer service is key.... More

After a trip to see Liberty and Ellis Islands, feeling hungry at lunchtime in the Financial District this was a great place for a quick cheap eat; fresh, quality food. Fill a plastic carton with either hot or cold dishes with a Mediterranean flavour. Definitely recommended.

Excellent value for money. Impressive choice and variety: sandwiches, pasta's, pizza's, cold buffet, hot buffet etc. Seatings upstairs and outside. We had the sub with pulled pork ($ 7,99) which was very tasty and enough for 2 people.

Open buffet, serve yourself style, pay per weight or you can buy some plates like pizza. After you pick your meal, you can take it with you, or eat on the patio, or second floor. Is very handy if you are on the Battery Park area, for tours, or ferry, so eating is not a problem of time or price.

This thing is a market place, grocery store and restaurant all in one. Sushi, pizza, burgers, sandwiches, eat to go or on the floor above - they've got it all. Had the New Yorker Burger with friend onion and mushrooms and some fries, one of the best burgers in New York so far. Give it a try if you're in... More

After my friend's little one had her ride on the Sea Glass Carousel, we were looking for a place to have some lunch. We happened upon this place. It's a combination supermarket/restaurant, where you can buy groceries, as well as have food to purchase for eating in the establishment. Many varieties of meals are offered , such as pizza, burgers,... More

Nothing too fancy, but quite refreshing in the hot summer. Great choice of salads and hot dishes, for a price below average in New York. Ideal to gather some strength before or after a trip to Liberty- and Ellis Island.

If you can cope with the atmosphere of a Tunisian market place, you'll probably survive the Cucina Liberta experience. It is a no frills eatery and supermarket in the most salubrious of settings. This little bit of mayhem is situated right by the Staten Island, Museum of Native America, NYC Film School and financial district. The food reflects the grab... More
