My preconception was that the original French/European recipes would be 'modified' to please the American palate. Although there was a noticeable variation from the tastes I am used to in Europe, the chef succeeded in preserving the spirit of traditional French cooking in all the dishes we had. The food is made with high-quality ingredients and with great skill. The... More

Our evening did not get off to a good start, we entered the restaurant and stood at the hostess station for 3 - 4 minutes. The hostess was tapping away at the computer screen and looking around the restaurant, but did not even acknowledge that we were there. Finally, she looked up, we gave our name and were told that... I have stayed at the intecontinental 3 times and enjoyed the breakfast at ca va, although quite pricey. The dinner, however, was exceptionally disappointing. Perhaps I ordered incorrectly but I could not eat my octopus starter at all. My main course was roast chicken- it was generous in size for fine dining but the mushroom taste was overwhelming and I... Went here with a coworker to get a bite to eat and some drinks before our Broadway show. It was packed! Good service. We sat in the side "bar" area and ordered a burger and puffer fish. Good tasting food. Reasonable prices.

Just about everything at this restaurant is above average - the staff was very friendly and accommodating; the tables and booths comfortable; well-priced wine list, daily specials and lovely homebaked breads. My prime rib was so delicious, the twice baked potato was so beautifully spiced, I only wish I had more room. The energetic noise level (we had an engineer... More

During a stay at the Intercontinental on October 25th we dined at Ca Va. The food was an innovative and fresh take on many brasserie classics. We arrived early for our reservation, and the bar was crowded, but we were set at a quiet and intimate table immediately. Our server Jordan immediately made us feel right at home. We accepted... My daughter and I only had one breakfast here but we thoroughly enjoyed it. We had the full buffet and thought it was excellent value. The waffles were especially nice with huge raspberries and blueberries on the side and individual bottles of pure maple syrup. Lovely eggs and a spicy chicken and potato dish and a delicious cherry Danish. Service... More

Had breakfast here every day of our stay - always good selection, especially the unlimited quantities of fresh orange juice not to mention the range in the breakfast buffet. Staff very efficient and friendly.

Nice bar scene, serviceable list by the glass, serviceable desserts and. Rey friendly staff. The hotel scene made it feel a bit touristy
