Excellent steaks (they tend to overcook slightly)

My husband and I are regulars here. One thing I recommend is that you anticipate your steak being slightly over cooked - I always ask for medium-rare to get a medium cooked steak. Their filet mignon is great, esp with the mushroom sauce.

The restaurant's Beef Empanadas (2), $8, were tasty and mildly spicy. The 14 oz. Rib Eye Steak ($25.95) was good but I have had much better, it came with a choice of potatoes or salad. The decor is simple and the room is dark with a small lit candle in a small cup shaped glass. There are not many Argentinean... More

We got hungry while exploring this upper east side neighborhood and the menu outside looked interesting, so we stopped in. It was hard to decide because everything looked so good, but we finally chose the mixed grille. We were very pleased when the waiter delivered the sizzling hot grill to our table. We were delighted with the short ribs, two... More

Whenever I walk by this place always seems busy and noisy, and that was true on a late Sunday morning. I had short ribs with eggs and fingerling potatoes. The meat was good but too chewy, I had to cut it in tiny pieces, which took an effort, before getting it down. But overall, this is a good meat place.... More

My teenage sons love red meat so we were excited to try this neighborhood place. It was 6.45 on a Monday holiday night so not crowded. We ordered the mussels appetizer and three different steaks (rib-eye, ny Strip and "porterhouse"). It took almost an hour for the mussels. The waiter avoided eye-contact at all costs. When they finally came he... More

We've been there for outdoor barbecue maneuver with the nice & a little windy weather but the food makes the difference, great juicy beef that was served hot and fresh salad was superb with fingerling potatoes that cooked perfectly blend. Great service too.

This dining room / bar was local to where we were staying and we dropped in on the recommendation of our host. Make no mistake, we enjoyed our stay immensely, but this is not where you go for an intimate dining experience. The establishment was very busy this New Year's day but we were well served on all counts that... More

We have had very good experiences here and we have had so, so ones. The food is pretty solid but at times the service lacks. We would go back however.

Been here once. I had a special Fillet Stroganoff which was great. My daughter had the lamb chops which were even better. Quick, friendly service. It was a great evening so we sat outside. Not too expensive.

Friendly bistro serving traditional Argentinian food. Good selection of native wines and some beer. We had a variety of chicken and beef dishes and all were very good. We watched Argentina in a world cup match and the place went nuts when they won- a very fun moment. Nice lunch menu as well.

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
