If we hadn't been starving we would have walked out. The food is nice enough, more style than substance but then that's the nature of the gaff and it was indeed edible and good quality. But the waitress! Oh wow, could a service giver be any more rude?? She was appalling: rude, surly, unhelpful., dismissive, arrogant, pompous. Truly diabolical.

The Manhattans "on tap" are delicious. You MUST try the Truffled Portobello mushroom "Pot". I would never think of ordering it, but a friend suggested it and it was amazing. So good we ordered a second one after we devoured the first.

Very nice interior! Food was very good; from the steak to the chicken to the oysters! A great place with an unpretentious feel. Wine and drink list were ideal! They have a fabulous burger on the menu too.

This was an incredible dining experience. The service was wonderful, the food was well-prepared and presentation was appealing. We were very pleased with this restaurant and the entire experience.

Went to Saxon & Parole after reading the NYT article on their remaking the Dirty Martini, which is usually the most vile salt bomb of a drink on the planet. But S&P spent two years concocting a new version, which they call the 7 Olives Martini. We ordered it and it came with seven different olives on the side (bamboo... More

Second time now for us. If you like a vibrant, fun room with great food. Do it. Server was great - we shared the family style ribeye - loved everything. Worth every penny. Great Nite. Thanks Saxon & Parole. You are our new favorites in NYC

Some foodie friends were visiting from Australia and I wanted to be sure their palettes wouldn't be disappointed. The black truffle buratta appetizer special was to die for. We also ordered the hamburger - cooked to perfection - and the scallops, a nice small sized entre which left me feeling light. Overall the ambiance of the restaurant allowed us the... More

I travel to New York often enough that I look for new and interesting places, and I don't mind paying more for a great experience and extraordinary food. Saxon + Parole caught my eye and was chosen for a special night out. I had high expectations, even as we walked through the doors, and were greeted by several young hostesses.... More

Truthfully, I wext to Saxon & Parole expexting something else...a local watering hole, an adequate NYC bistro, not much else. I was completely surprised. I had the burger, I usually do. I wasn't prepared for the "dry aged Angus burger with Pennsylvania Havarti, maple bacon, a fried egg + fries"...it was sublime; not to big, not to greasy, done perfectly.... More

Inside the building has been done well - there's an attention to detail and just looking around it impresses. Other things are less impressive. The staff could be more polite, more attentive (ever seen your dish going past your table with a server looking confused?) and we were there when it was quiet - late lunch on weekday. The menu...
