I decided to have something to eat with some friends. Restaurant was full so we spent our evening at the bar where we had also food. Cocktails are super: prepared by a very nice group of bartenders, including a girl! Food is good from appetizers to the meat. A little expensive, worth the money. Only minor thing: when crowded it... How many cool spots have we been to where the servers wanted to be elsewhere and the food made us want to be.... This was different. Masa the bar keep made us a lavender tequila cocktail and we were off to the races. Stellar food wine and service. I googled and found the chef has a Michelin star- no wonder.... More

....slick, sleek but a bit soulless. Attractive Victorian building and interior design current and stylish. Mix of booths/ tables as seating split between bar and seating only area. We, like another reviewer, had booked well ahead but staff unsure where we should be seated, which resulted in being walked around restaurant at first. Noise level so high the waiter mis-... More

Tasty...but sighs.... Look, are you heading downtown on Trip Advisor? Look around. This is a very expensive restaurant with great burgers from aged beef that get the 20s-30s hyped up. They also do love-ins at the bar and that is wonderful to see (note all the lovey notes to the tenders of bar in various reviews). Too bad the table... More

We enjoyed our first meal at Saxon and Parole on thanksgiving day 2014. It was a pre fixe menu and everything we had was excellent - the steak, turkey, branzino and pasta. Their bread with honey butter was yummy and the roasted Brussels sprouts with chipotle honey were amazing! A tower of treats topped off the meal. The wait staff... More

My boyfriend wanted an hamburger and we got in attired by the furniture and basically because is a steakhouse. The place is amazing: perfectly designed , nice service and great brunch. Sunday in Bowery/East so vibrant and a bit noisy but with great music. Generous and delis hamburger and classic poached edges with spinach and salad. Gnummy! Price are faire.... More

Booked our reservation weeks in advance. Sat us at a crappy table and moved us when we requested a better table. Meal was very slow and underwhelming. Steak was over done and not very tasty. Would not go back.

Giving 5-stars but with the caveat the we only sat at the bar...but, wow! Fantastic service from the beautiful Kristin. She was more "mixologist" than "bartender" and was attentive to our needs and interesting to watch...that girl can mix a cocktail! We ordered the charcuterie and cheese plate and were delighted...dates, pork terrine (fab!), pistachios, beautifully smoked ham, beautiful cheeses,... More
