Tiny diner as genuine as they get

Such a welcoming and genuine atmosphere. No frills dishes cooked right in front of the few chairs available at the bar in this tiny place. Who knew that banana pancakes could taste so good.

Came back to Johny's for a business meeting. And again I wasn't let down. There was a wait, but I was sat within ten minutes. The food fast and delicious. Great mix of locals and tourists from all over. This place is Old New York with a new attitude!!

If you loved Bill Murray and his "cheeburger, cheeburger" skit in the original Saturday Night Live you have to visit this place. It's only about 10' wide with the grille, a counter and stools and just barely enough space to get by the stools. My friends and I got takeout one morning and got a variety of things- breakfast burrito... More

The food is good and the servings are a good size. Dont expect some fancy serup, Cause you wont get it. Its not a tourist trap but instead very authentic. Lots of real New yorkers from different walks of Life, visit this place. The place is small but that only makes it cozier. Johny himself is friendly and forthcoming.

Popped in here one morning when i visited in November as all i wanted was pancakes and that proper American breakfast that you see in the movies. I wasn't dissapointed. The guy was a little blunt, but i cant hack at him. He did his job and was pleasant all the same. The food was quick, the menu was simple... More

Place is very busy. The food is really good, so definitely wait for your table. The wait wasn't that long. Maybe 15/20 minutes maximum. This is a perfect breakfast spot. You need to try the King Kong. You won't be disappointed. They just renovated the place. The wall where is a must see!
