Simply perfect!

After all the Starbucks, prêt à manager's and pain quotidien's this place is something totally different. Authentic place, friendly owner and the breakfast is absolutely amazing. Don't think too much about your cholesterol levels though... But man, is it worth it! :)

This is a tiny, fun little breakfast counter where you can watch the cook prepare your food. Lots of the locals eat there, which is always a good sign.

I come here every time I'm in NYC. Crowded counter dining. Extensive menu but always get the 2 eggs over easy with hash browns, bacon and coffee for less than $8.00. What a deal!!!!

Affordable friendly and old school dinner. My second time there will be back for a third visit. Be prepared for a wait but it's worth the wait.

This was my 1st visit to NYC and I wanted to experience a NYC dinner. We were staying in Manhattan and checked tripadvisor ratings for diners. It was about 10 blocks from our hotel and walked over for breakfast. It was just as the reviews stated. Very small but a good breakfast. Service was very good. I had the best... More

We had breakfast here everyday for a week while we were in NY. The staff are really welcoming, friendly and the food was really tasty and very reasonably priced. Pancakes for breakfast were an alien concept for me but the grill man made some lovely pancakes that kept me full for the whole day. The space is small and we... More

What most reviewers failed to mention about this place was that it's about as big as a closet …. walk in and back out! After reading the TA reviews, we decided to walk there for breakfast. It was a long walk, and we were starved by the time we got there. A dingy, very narrow space with a lunch counter... More

With Chipotle and Panera chains creeping into every block of Manhattan places like Johny's are getting harder and harder to find, do yourself a favor and go to this quintessential New York counter diner. Great prices, great atmosphere and WOW those banana pancakes are awesome. Dad and Son take care of the customers while the grill master preforms the most... More

This small bustling family run joint is a great place to sit and enjoy a nice American breakfast whilst watching the customers come and go on their way to work. Just watching the guy on the griddle, cracking eggs one handed whilst serving with the other hand is a sight to behold. An experience in organised, friendly chaos. Great bacon,... More
