As good as it can be!

Wow. That's all I can say about Johnny's Luncheonette place... It's a typical diner-like breakfast establishment, 10 seats, a long bar, behind it Johnny and two helpers fix breakfasts for anyone who enter. The menu has a lot of choices, the service is quick and good, they make everything on the... read more

Came here because of all the great reviews. Very New York. Very inviting. As if you're going back in time to the days before all the fancy cafe's. The Starbucks. And all the corporate chains. Had a great authentic/original breakfast! Pancakes, eggs, and sausage!! Perfectly done. Includes coffee until 11:30 am. I will be going back when I am in... More

My wife found this place online (Yelp?) so we figured we'd give it a try for breakfast one morning, during our trip to NYC. It's a little hole in the wall, greasy spoon place, with the key word being greasy...in the food, in the air (we walked out smelling from food smoke, which permeated the place). At one point the... Tiny place where you sit at the kitchen counter and watch them make your breakfast. Great place for a classic American fry, eggs, pancakes, bacon, the proper job. Does not sound like much, but there's not a lot of places like this one left in Panera-ville.

Loved the pancakes and eggs with bacon!!! You can't go wrong with any of the breakfast platters. Definitely try it out if you are in the NYC.

Delighted we found this 'true taste of America' diner, almost untouched by modern refurbishments, but rightly so. It doesnt need any changes...great, affordable food...the bacon, maple pancakes and french toast are 10/10

After all the Starbucks, prêt à manager's and pain quotidien's this place is something totally different. Authentic place, friendly owner and the breakfast is absolutely amazing. Don't think too much about your cholesterol levels though... But man, is it worth it! :)

This is a tiny, fun little breakfast counter where you can watch the cook prepare your food. Lots of the locals eat there, which is always a good sign.

I come here every time I'm in NYC. Crowded counter dining. Extensive menu but always get the 2 eggs over easy with hash browns, bacon and coffee for less than $8.00. What a deal!!!!
