Description: "Hi there, it's chef Alex Garcia. In my kitchen there are no borders just fun delicious food made from the best ingredients I can get my oven mits on! As a native Cuban I grew-up appreciating the simple joys of food and conviviality centered around the family table, so here at AG Kitchen you'll find the food I enjoy cooking and eating with my friends and family. It's my take on American and Latin classic comfort food. There's my signature ceviches, and other starters and salads, a collection of burgers done my way, a delicious take on Roasted Chicken served Brazilian style, plus a paella style dish for 1 or more and mix and match surf and turf. It's always a dinner party at A.G. Kitchen.

Stopped for lunch and a cold beer after a long walk through central park. I had the chef special burger which was deliciously prepared. A couple glasses of pilsner wash it down. While everything was delicious, my bill was a little north of $30.

My girlfriend and I had lunch today at the Columbus tavern. It is a fun location on busy columbus avenue. We were seated in the front next to the glass with a great view of Columbus ave. for the first 20 minutes I thought wow great place to have lunch while in the city for the day. That thought quickly... More

Went here for a quick dinner on a Saturday night. The restaurant was not busy but the service would make you think otherwise. The staff acted as if they couldn't keep up and it took them a long time to even come greet us at the table. Our waitress had no knowledge of the menu and was unfriendly and unattentive.... More

We really enjoyed our dinner here. I felt a little underdressed, but I got over it. Food was perfect, and was a very good price for the portion size, had we not been staying in a hotel we would have brought leftovers home. I would not bring kids here (we had three teenagers) But I would deffinatly go here with... More

The hostess was unpleasant and had a sour demeanor throughout our meal (we sat near the door). Our waiter was slow to refill drinks and fairly inattentive. The food wasn't worth the price we paid but the appetizers were good. The tables are very much on top of one another and the restaurant was very cold.

Went here on a Friday night for some burgers and beer. Got seated immediately next to the window (prime seating) and was attended to quickly. We ordered burgers and on tap beer. The food arrived about 10-15 minutes after ordering it and was hot and tasty. We'll definitely be returning in the future as it was an easy and good... More

We've been going to City Grill since before it was City Grill (it used to be Ruppert's but did not change when the name changed!)!! We have always enjoyed everything we've ordered - they have somewhat of an eclectic menu with something to appeal to everyone, everything from burgers, salads & quesadillas to more traditional entrees such as salmon, pasta,... if you had to order only one cocktail and one entree at the City Grill, bartender Neal's handcrafted "Appletini" and entree size order of the Mac and Cheese with hot chorizo fresh crushed pepper, and aged parmesian.

I was wandering along Columbus Ave. today after a meeting and found City Grill. I sat in the sun-filled front room and ordered a veggie burger. Both the service and the food were quite good. The only odd thing was the bathrooms (I'm a stickler for this, forgive me) which were totally substandard. I'd certainly return, though. It was a... More

We've been going to City Grill for years & years (both when we lived in NY and on our frequent return visits), but I guess I've never thought to review it! By NY standards, they are quite reasonably priced, with a fairly extensive "casual" menu (but not so casual as to just serve burgers, etc.). The glassed in "outside area"... More
