Christmas lunch

Had a three course Christmas lunch here, which we booked prior to leaving Australia. Though not completely all Christmas fare - we had ham and turkey for main, it was a good option, though not necessary to book. Food was good as was the service, unfortunately as with most bars - TV's everywhere.

Had a fabulous meal here, served by great staff - all Irish girls! ...great atmosphere too, typical Irish pub/restaurant. Worth a visit, but be prepared to wait for a table at a weekend, worth the wait though!

I stopped in here for a quick lunch between meetings and thought it was a nice Irish pub. The decor is very nice. The service was very good but I didn't really like my food. I ordered a Reuben and it's the first time I've had the corn beef served in a big hunk of meat instead of being shaved.... More

Made to feel very welcome. Bar staff have a genuine interest in those that come to the bar. Menu is good and the food is great. Became our local when in new york

We were in Times Square area and were ready for lunch. Checking Yelp, this looked like a good stop. And it was. We had great service, loved the menu. My husband had the Irish Stew and I had the Shepards Pie. Slightly different flavors and the one had ground meat and the other sirloin chunks. You'd win with either choice.... More

The service brought this review from average to good. The food was ok as was the menu selection but nothing special. The service was good, and the staff were friendly. One time only visit for me.

A block off the heart of Times Square, so convenient! We stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner. The place is a little on the small side, a little on the noisy side but hey, you're in a pub in Times Square. We food was delicious and staff helpful and attentive. I'm not sure how "Irish" it really is but... More

Didn't eat, just dived in to kill time until our table at Virgil's (next door) was ready. Noisy, lively, very un-Irish music - on a Saturday night this is a party place, not somewhere for a romantic meal. Good Guinness, generous JD shots, fast and friendly service and pretty cheap for downtown New York...

Just steps from the heart of Times Square, this pub offers a casual retreat from the hustle and bustle. The friendliness of the staff can't be beat. It's a small place, offering traditional pub fare and is a welcome spot for tourists and locals alike. Get the Gaelic Burger!

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
