I visited Tertulia on May 2nd and was pleased with the dishes I ordered. I can't say it was the best food I have ever had but it wasnt on my least favourite list. I had the grilled escarole, which was very good and the roast pig cheek with quail egg which was excellent. I actually ordered it twice. If... More

We loved, loved, loved Tertulia. We were visiting from out of town when someone suggested Tertulia. So glad we went before the play. The artichokes were out of this world as was the charred escarole. I think that the char was one of the best plates of the night. My only comment was that the plates are not so small... More

Tapas are the small amazing little dishes of wonderfully prepared food items one gets all over Spain. Calling this place a tapas restaurant is deceiving in the extreme. The food has nothing in common with tapas or Spain. A total waste of money. Avoid please.

We ordered the cured meats and serrano ham to start. Very tasty meats! The cocktails and sangria were delish! Our server was knowledgeable and knew the ingredients well! He confirmed what dishes had dairy and what could be adjusted to exclude dairy. The octopus was well grilled, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Very flavorful! The brusselsprouts... Spanish restaurant with all home-made hams, sausages, etc. Wait staff was very helpful with recommendations. The bread with fresh tomato served with serrano ham was delicious. Casual and comfortable. Ask for a table in the back by the kitchen.

The Ambiance :: Other than the colorful bicycle parked by its front entrance, Tertulia, with its black and white stripped awning, is not an outwardly impressive restaurant. However, upon stepping inside the front door, it proves to be a very special place. Dark wood paneling, rusticated brick walls, arched doorways, and shelves of wine begin to make you feel you've... The service was excellent, the food impeccable. Absolutely wonderful. The kale salad was one of the best dishes I've ever eaten, period. We went on a Monday, after the lunch rush, and it was quiet and restful. I imagine it's very lively at night, but I appreciated the oasis it offered that day.

A friend of ours recommended we try Tertulia during our Christmas time visit to NYC and we're glad we did. We made Tertulia a lunch time sortie arriving near 1:45 pm. The lunch rush hour was over and as such we had no trouble securing a table for two in this rustic little restaurant. With the weather chilly and damp... More

I was tired of going to over-hyped Spanish restaurants because they never measured up to the food I grew up with. I had grandmothers and great-aunts of Castillian and Canary Island descent. And, they were great cooks while also being highly competitive. They used to try to out-do each other, and some never shared their winning recipes. After always checking... More
