Went with a friend for an after-work dinner and, well, we loved it. Two small plates, three large plates, oh, yes, the bread pudding and several wines by the glass. Liked it so much, went back the following night with the husband. Just a great place. Crazy delicious, comfortable easy, excellent choices and portion sizes and a really (really) wonderful... More

If you have a lot of time - this place has some gems on its menu. Others have mentioned the choclo - by far the best dish we had. It is a sort of hominy - crispy and with a superb lime sauce. Other dishes were kind of a mix. The Serrano ham is fine - kind of ordinary, but... More

So, I decided to travel from Stockholm to NYC for my 50th birthday. Not very original, I know. However, to have the big dinner at a Spanish restaurant might be... Having had a quiet, but excellent, lunch at Tertulia in 2012 I decided that this is the place! Being a big traveler to Spain I always enjoy exploring Spanish restaurants... More

The food is excellent, and not very expensive, the room is very simple, the wines are awesome, the service is a little slow cause the place has a lot of tables, but worthy, you should try the scallopes and the paella, the best in town!!!

Was uncrowded on a recent Sunday - maybe the locals were in the Hamptons. My guest and I ordered brunch. The desayuno tertulia did not disappoint, and neither did the crushed egg, iberico ham and potato concoction. The highlight was choclo, a hominy, pork belly and lime affair that is a must-order. Servive was fairly attentive, although I would appreciate... More

The food was excellent and interesting, but experience was ruined by such poor service. Shame such a nice restaurant with an excellent NY rating could be such a disappointment. Twice dishes for our table were taken to the wrong table. The staff did not seem interested in engaging in conversations about the food. Loved the cauliflower dish, but when asked... More

We arranged to have our wedding rehersal dinner at Tertulia and due to the size of our party we were required to use the chefs' menu. At first I was somewhat concerned about how that would work with our group but it worked perfectly. The selection was great and the food very tasty. Some vavorites were the trout, the croquets,... We got the squid ink risotto (delicious) and the lamb meatballs, among other dishes. The meatballs were loved by everyone, very savoury and well-spiced. I found a small clear plastic sliver in one of the meatballs though, it looks like part of a cooking utensil? We informed our waiter and the dish got removed from our bill, which was generous... We came here with a party of three and it was a terrible experience. First, the second the waiter learned that we would be drinking tap water, the service became non-existent. (Even though we ordered a pitcher of wine) throughout the dinner, staff constantly broke plates and threw metal objects into the sink. All of this ruined the atmosphere. Now... More

As a lover of Spanish food, I was extremely disappointed in this restaurant. The space is nice (although always packed), but the food is sub-par. Not only is it not authentic, but it's very expensive for its low quality. For people wanted tapas downtown, Las Ramblas is far superior.
