Good spanish food

We ate a late lunch. The tomato bread with ham was delicious. The salads were superb although a little too oily. The paella was well done but a little to fishy.. Dessert was definitely just okay - we had a fruit tart and chocolate churros.

This place was really great. We had spent the afternoon walking around Greenwich Village shopping and exploring the neighborhood and had early reservations. We had a variety of different dishes and loved each one. The grilled octopus was my favorite and very similar to what I've had in Spain. The sangria was good, especially the melon one. We had a... Very disappointing. First time visit, had read good reviews but if you have been to Barcelona, San Sebastián the food is a poor representation of Spanish tapas, food. Nice setting, food sounds promising but execution flawed. 2 bites of smoked pork cheek, pork barely discernible, special of "perebes" (barnacles imported from Oregon) were barely 5 pieces of shrivelled up nothing.... Really great dining experience. Good and attentive service. Attractive laid back dining room, loved the intimate booths. We tried various tapas, really liked the jamon crockets, the octopus with quinoa, calamari with rice, and the papas bravas. All dishes were excellent except for the sausage with rice, found this dish to be mealy. Desserts were good, really enjoyed the churros... More

We visited this restaurant our first night in New York and were astounded by the horrible service. We had originally booked a table for six people and were told we had to order the chef's tasting menu as we had a 'big group'. Found this a bit odd but agreed. One person had to back out so we only had... More

We were fortunate enough to get a table here at short notice when we visited on a Tues night. Great selection of tapas and friendly service with a decent atmosphere. Well worth a visit. Good value at about $140 all in for 3 of us.

Last night my wife and I and another couple who are close friends had the pleasure of dining at Tertulia. It's one of those places you pass a hundred times and just keep walking because it doesn't look cool, or hip, or even busy. But once you sit down that all changes. I was early and had a cocktail at... More

From the exterior, you would have not idea what treasures lay inside. There were 7 of us, dining late at 21.30 on a Friday night - I was a little worried to begin with that the banquette table literally backing into the open kitchen would be too noisy - it was fine - maybe because we were noisier, being a... I loved this place. The atmosphere was buzzy, we were seated in a cosy corner table, and the food was really, really good. Our server suggested ordering two small dishes and one large dish, which we did, but I think that was a bit much - it might be better to order a bit less and then order more if you... We stumbled across this restaurant after walking for quite a while and were so so happy to have found it. Excellent food, great atmosphere and attentive wait staff. Everything we ordered was fantastic (going by the waitress's suggestions) and specials of the day. This is one place we would definitely come back to! Highly recommended.

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
