Our meal here was fantastic. We dined for dinner and the place was packed. The food was fresh and healthy. In fact I think it might even be the best Chinese I have ever eaten! Certainly the best in NY! The service was fast and friendly. I can't wait to return.

We come to 456 for their incredible soup dumplings, and even better, fried dumplings. Most everything is delicious here, and we highly recommend their wonton soup. Dumplings of goodness!

Once upon a time, Chinatown had two restaurants of this name: a small place on East Broadway, called Say Eng Look, and a larger emporium on the Bowery called the 4-5-6, owned by the same people (if I remember correctly). The small place was legendary for its Shanghai cooking: fried roll fish with bean curd sheet; shredded chicken and pork;... More

Visiting from Australia. Loved this place. We ordered the soup dumplings which were delicious and several other dumpling dishes. Also a great fried broccoli in a very tasty sauce. Lots of food, all good and very reasonably priced. Wish I lived closer as I would go back anytime.

When looking for a good restaurant on a block loaded with restaurants, we usually look to see which ones have the most people. This little rule is not foolproof but did work in our visit to 456 Restaurant. There was a ten minute wait to be seated and this gave us the opportunity to peruse the menu as well as... More

We stumbled upon this place after the first two we went to no longer exist! What a find! The juicy pork buns were as goos as the Michelin star ones in Hong Kong and the wonton in spicy flavor were nearly as good. We loved the beef with broccoli. Great, rich flavor not like the braised dishes you get in... More

We wondered over to Chinatown for a meal on Saturday evening and we ended up picking this restaurant because it looked busy and we had to wait for a table, which is usually a good sign. Unfortunately, on this occasion we were definitely wrong! I don't know if it was due to it being Saturday night that our service and... More

We went to China Town for at good meal! But we were very disapointed. This restaurant had a Trip Advisor sign on the door, which we took as a good sign. The waiter did not speak or understand english. He kepts standing at the table, impatiently waiting for our order without any recommendations. We tried to order 2 glasses of... More

We went there for lunch. We took a simple dish, fried noodle. The noodles were like in a lowcost kitchen!
