Great authentic food!

We wandered past this place and saw there was only one free table so piled in for a late supper. Decent food served quickly, staff were friendly and the bill was under $100 for 4 of us for starters, 4 mains and some drinks Certainly recommended!

The so called recommended dish of fried fish and braised pork is average and not as good as I thought. The hot & sour soup is so watery and doesn't taste right. The only plus is the shanghainese dumpling us o.k.. The waiter is expecting at least 15f tips and came running to us demanding we give at least 15%... More

great Shanghai food. Moo shu pork is excellent. Beef or pork lo mein has the thick noodles which are wonderful. Tables are nicely spaced apart. Service very good.

We found this restaurant by using TripAdvisor and it was said it closes at 23.00, however it closes at 22.00. We went in there at 21.40, not knowing that it will soon close and at the end we were almost thrown out of the place.the food was good though.

This clean for Chinatown eatery has really good food and the soup dumplings are very tasty. The soup dumplings are a bit on the small side however, they are flavorful. On this particular lunch trip I had an order of the soup dumplings with crab and the Sautéed fish filet Szechuan style. An excellent lunch!

Very friendly and efficient service with wonderfully tasty food. A good selection, and the lunchtime specials menu meant we ate well for a very reasonable price.

My wife; who is originally from Shanghai, China, suggested that we try a restaurant known as Shanghai 456! There are hundreds of Chinese restaurants; However we read reviews that it is one of our most frequently visited restaurants in this area. Shanghai 456 is slightly more upscale than nearby holes in the wall; without skimping on flavor. There's never been... More

This was the best Chinese food I have ever eaten. The service was great and the portions were huge. I had chicken fried rice and it was excellent with plenty left for take home. My friend had cashew chicken . There was hot tea on the table that was very warming on the chilly rainy night we were there.

We went in at 9.50pm and we're shown to a table and given menus - then told to order quickly as the kitchen was shutting soon. The staff then preceded to clean up around us, rush out our food and make us feel very unwelcome. The staff were hectic and inconsiderate, the door was left open so we could smell... More

We were amazed at how much food $28 could get two people here. We ordered 2 dim sum plates, white steamed rice, and sesame beef. The food came out in a decently timed sequence, and we were able to leave rather quickly after eating our last bite. We also did order spring rolls, but they got missed; thankfully, our check... Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.
