Great lil Gem in the heart of West Village! One of my spots to go with my friends for great food and cocktails!

Good menu, fresh dishes and attentive service. Was pleasantly surprised with Frankies as it wasn't my original destination for lunch, but enjoyed every bit of it. The food was good, plentiful and oozed freshness. Well worth a visit.

After arriving at our VRBO studio apartment in the West Village, we needed a decent dinner after our Amtrak trip down from Boston. It was a cold and wet night and something homey and welcoming was called for. We stumbled upon Frankies Spuntino 570, two blocks from our rental. I cannot now recall what we ate and, frankly, it doesn't... More

We ate here very late one night on a recent trip to NYC. They were very accommodating and the food was a gourmet style italian. We all tried things that were out of our usual wheel house and were pleasantly surprised. I would have to say that after trying everyones dishes that I like the mushroom pasta the best...but lots... We visited with my two daughters and four young granddaughters on a snowy day in New York. Ordered the roasted beets with avocado which was exceptional. Cavatelli was a bit too salty for the young ones, which our attendant was kind enough to exchange for the pasta marinara with fresh ricotta, which the kids absolutely adored and ate with gusto.... Perhaps Monday's aren't the best night to kick the tires at restaurants, then again, do the great eateries discriminate against days of the week? If our visit on a Monday night was any indication, then Frankies don't like Monday's. The place was nearly empty by the time we rolled in at 9:30pm, yet despite the late hour and nearly empty... Great small restaurant, family feel, food is really good. I tried the cheese plate which i truly enjoyed and one of the pasta dishes with some spicy home-made sausages! Excellent! Portions are on the smaller side which i love! The restaurant has the New York feel and it's not full of tourists.

Frankies in Greenwich Village is now our go-to place before a set at the Vanguard. Informal but classy, classy but unpretentious, with a welcoming atmosphere nice for everything from friends and dates to families and business associates.

Inventive combinations but true to tradition isn't easy to pull off but the chef here does it well. The crostini appetizers are just perfect small bites to start with which we followed with a fennel salad which was terrific. Our entrees were equally good. The atmosphere had a cozy neighborhood feel and the staff was friendly and gracious.

After our disappointing visit to the White Horse Tavern, we decided to have lunch elsewhere. Tried to go to the Spotted Pig, but that was very crowded and had a long wait time. Went to Frankie's Spuntino 570 and was not disappointed at all. I had the crepes with mascapone and a side of thick bacon while my daughter had... More
