We went to Frankies while we were waiting to get into another restaurant in the neighborhood. I am not going to name that restaurant but let me say, I wish we would have just stayed at Frankies. My husband and I sat up at the bar. We ordered a glass of wine each and some appetizers. The olives were great... More

I ate here 2 nights in a row, once on my own after my partners flight was so delayed they missed dinner then again the next night as the staff were so lovely the night before! They recommended dishes, wine and even gave us complimentary desserts. Lovely people and restaurant, would definitely recommend!

We had dinner on a Saturday night. Our reservation was on time. The service was very good. This is a small intimate little restaurant. The caesar dressing is the best I think that I have ever had. We had a group of 6 and everyone was pleased with their entree. The portions were not small nor were they huge. Just... More

The food at Frankies is very tasty and good..however don't go there in an empty stomach because the portions won't keep you full, unless you want to pay 4,50$ on each tiny little sides. Hopefully big portions of bread and very tasty olive oil is served as snack. We had to pay an over 100$ bill (without tax and tips)... More

A fun, old school bistro, a little hard on the gut, but flavorful to the max. Generous bread basket, excellent house wine, good veggie antipasto options. If we had stopped there this would have been a five star experience. But noooo, we had to go and order entrees, too. The signature past was loaded with spicy, fatty sausage and cream.... More

We went here for Sunday lunch with our son and his family. It was a great choice. The menu had so many temptations that it was difficult to choose. Oh for a life with six meals a day! I had cavatelli with sage/brown butter sauce. I planned on eating half of it and ended up eating the whole serving. Too... More

This was my third time dining at Frankie's 570 on Hudson Street in Greenwich Village. The first time was for brunch, the second was for lunch and the third time was for dinner. All three times I liked the food, despite the small portion sizes but disliked the environment. The dining area is naturally noisy and not especially warm and... More

Stopped in on a whim for lunch. The service was great my mother asked to change the sauce on her dish and the chef accomdated her request. I had the gnocchi which were amazing. Great place and atmosphere!

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
