My visit to paris on Madison ave

A great experience. The pastry and confections were superb with a great selection of beverages. Its a small quaint shop with personalized attention with a small seating and table area. The wait staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The menu is small and pricy but the treats are worth it.

It was the icing of my birthday cake and nothing could have been any better! The atmosphere, despite hot and humid weather, was very refreshing. The staff was very accommodating and the macaroons were out of this world. The list of flavors is immense. The only drawback - my opinion - is that when I ordered a Café Au Lait,... More

I've always wanted to try the quintessential macaron by Ladurée. Stopped in right as they opened on a Saturday morning to pickup a few six count gift boxes for souvenirs. $21 a piece if memory serves but, its iconic so live a little. There was no line which was my goal and I'm glad because there was a bit of... More

This shoppe, while having good macarons was a great little stop in my tour. I have a weakness for these amazingly expensive little delights, and this place was lovely. If you are lucky enough to catch a table, your seating is very decadent. The macarons are delicious and the boxes they come in are a wonderful little keepsake. The hardest... More

We had lunch here on a very hot day. We hadn't booked a table so, walking past the counter displaying the world famous macarons, we asked the waiter for a table. He told us to wait and then walked off without another word. Eventually a woman came up, asked us again if we had booked, and then showed us to... More

My review is based on my dinner experience only. Absolutely go for the macarons. They are a delightful treat. Airy and crispy outside, smooth and creamy inside. The rest of my meal was nothing special. Very limited selection, extremely overpriced and very forgettable. We sat on the back terrace which was an enchanting garden, however the close proximity of tables... More

Now its gonna be a must everytime i visit nyc. Everything was delicious, a bit on the expensive side. The place is gorgeous. You can seat outside or inside. The rooms are exquisitely decorated,so decadent! And the patio is great for the summer! The attention was ok.the server could have been a bit more helpful when ordering (the menu has... More

After touring the art at Frick, standing for hours, walk a little to Madison Av and treat yourself to a serious sweet. They look wonderful, but not quite up to it. Seems the most popular are the cookies, in which I did not indulge.

The original and the best. Expensive although worth every penny. The only irritating thing is the line that at times forms outside of this small shop around the block on Madison.

How could you say anything negative about Laduree macarons?? They are decadent little beasts and were on my list from the moment I decided to travel to NYC. I only wish I had a bigger sweet tooth and could eat them all before they became stale. ;)

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
