Love the macarons!

When my husband goes to Paris, he always brings home for me a box of macarons from LaDuree. The macarons are to die for. The filling is light, with just the right amount of sweetness, and cookie is delicate to the bite. They come in a variety of flavors and are such a treat. This location opened... read more

My wife is a big fan of macaroons, so we planned to stop by Laduree on Madison. It was a rainy day, so the foot traffic was light and there was very little wait to be served. We chose a box of 6 macaroons for approx $20 (a typical price for macaroons). She loved them! If you are a fan... More

I'm a fan of almost all things French and got my first taste of macaroon perfection at the Paris location. On my recent visit to NYC I had a few hours to kill before my flight so I decided to head to the Soho location for brunch. I was seated in the back patio which was abloom with wonderful flowers.... The Maid of Honor held my daughter's bridal shower here because she knew my daughter would love it. The shower was in the Pompadour Room which is very beautiful. You felt like you were sitting in a room in Versailles. The food was fabulous! The only negative is that the place was a madhouse to walk through - it was... More

For a truly decadent treat, do not pass up the opportunity to go to Laduree for a macaron, or a palmier (or two). Flown in from Paris daily, these macarons are the standard by which all others are judged - and they never fail to win!

They were too sweet for me, distracting me from the real flavors, e.g. Coffee, tea, cherry etc. For $ 2.8a piece of 3cm diameter macaron i expected more. The box was very beautiful. The store inviting.

La Durée is definitely the Master of it! Each La Durée location has the same perfect macaroon! Rasberry is my long time favorite!

Laduree is known for having the best macarons on the planet, and the patisserie in NYC does not disappoint. Try all the macarons, including the ones you think you wouldn't like based on the names/flavors, because the will surprise and delight you. The treats are transcendentally light and delectably sweet. Highly, highly recommended.

Beautiful looking macaroons. Beautiful packaging. Wonderfully friendly staff. Beautiful store. The macaroons are fresh and good tasting; but nothing to write home about. Quite average as macaroons go. The only difference is the price, which is rather steep for what you're getting. On the other hand, the packaging is very beautiful. So, perhaps it is worth a try, if you... More

Raspberry and pistachio flavors are so delicious. Coffee flavor, i really enjoyed it because it is not too sweet. The service was excellent.

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
