Homemade Chicken Soup

While I was on vacation, I got a cold and I was looking for home made chicken soup. D & S Market Place was two blocks away from while I was staying so it was perfect. I went three days in a row. The price was very reasonable for the quality and quantity received.

We were staying across the street at the chambers, and I we wanted to get our day started. I asked the staff where I should go for a good bacon, egg, and cheese bagel and they said here. Wasn't disappointed. Everything I was looking for, and it was fast and cheap.

We wanted sandwiches for lunch and came upon D&S and saw a crowd coming and going. Sign outside had reasonable prices. Inside two lines one for cold and one for hot were Moving quickly. They highlight Boars Head meats which are higher quality than a lot of delis. Wife opted for a cold Italian and my son had a grilled... More

My husband and I both had good food - I had a deli sandwich and he the veggie burger. My turkey sandwich had A LOT of turkey, which is great. It was a deli inside a convenience store. Seating was upstairs and left something to be desired. But good food - would go back!

We wandered into this deli on a Saturday afternoon after spending a few hours exploring MOMA. The place was clean, the staff very friendly and the sandwiches were superb. All made to order, they are stacked with meat. Bread was very fresh. There are tables upstairs with a little view of 56th Street. A back room with a large selection... More

This deli, in midtown between Carnegie Hall and ritzy shopping on 5th Ave, is a great home away from home. There is good variety, and everything is good. Breakfasts are the best, and the price is right. Lots of seating upstairs for relaxed eating. The staff was friendly and helpful. They are closed on Sundays, but for six days a... More

The wonderful security outside St Patricks Cathedral recommended we try this deli. WOW!! Wouldn't have believed that all 5 people in our party would have been pleased. Delicious paninis and sandwiches. Quick and efficient service. Awesome prices under $7 for generous servings. 2 of us had Italian Chicken Panini, 1 had steak sub, 1 eggplant parm and 1 salami &... I discovered this market place by coincide, but this place is excellent to have lunch for a good and fair price. The have a wide buffet variety or you can choose from fresh made sandwiches. The Turkey Burger Deluxe is absolutely my favorite. Upstairs you find plenty seating!

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
