This is not a restaurant but a wonderful bakery. if you are in Chelsea and find yourself with a craving for a cookie head to Empire. The choice is extensive including cakes and cupcakes. You will leave a happy person. We have stopped their many times and never left feeling less then overjoyed with our choice.

Visited a few bakeries in Chelsea before deciding on one of Empire's premier cakes for a friend's birthday. Both the experience and the pasty were way above average. Thank you.

Usually I'm not too much of a cupcake person but this place did not disappoint. AMAZING cupcakes. I have never tried anything so good. I definitely recommend coming here if you're in the area!!!

This place is just incredible. We found it on a whim, after finding ourselves in the mood for cupcakes. But we ended up having a snowball and a red velvet cake. Just ..... WOW. This may be the best desserts cafe I've ever visited. Seriously.

We found this place by accident but we were really glad that we did. It was a cold evening and this was the perfect stop for a decent-sized cake and coffee. The snack cakes looked really good so I went for the red velvet cake and I was not disappointed. It was a good size (not too big) and my... More

Go for the red velvet snack cakes - best. If you like chocolate - go for the chocolate snack cakes - their Twinkie is so rich, their cookies are so good and their Brooklyn blackout cake is so divine.

Go here for the snack cakes, snowballs, and black-and-white cookies. They are excellent. You can do much better at other nearby bakeries for cupcakes and cookies.

This was a great little bakery we visited on our way out of New York. We got snowballs and a variety of different cupcakes. I really recommend the snowballs, not something I would usually try but it was really good.

If you are in the area, you MUST buy and eat a black and white cookie (they come in three sizes, I got the medium one). Eat it on the spot. It is more than awesome. Its more cake like than crispy cookie like, but the texture, flavor and overall goodness is RIDICULOUSLY good. Purchased other items for my family... More
