Very hip! Biggest issue is getting a table. Despite reservation it was a 45 minute wait past the reserved time.

Made a reservation for 9pm and arrived at 9pm but didn't get seated until 9:30 so we had time for a beer and a glass of wine in the bar which added nicely to the build up because the place was buzzing, great atmosphere and music..great service at the bar. Great food and drinks the venue was fun and different. The staff were overly kind and friendly too. Weird tip: Toilets are a must visit. You'll see! There are a few speakeasy bars in this area so its good to check them out while you're in the neighbourhood

The atmosphere trendy & upscale. The menus selections are tapas style with unique dishes. We particularly loved the Chipotle duck and the "tomato soup/grilled cheese dishes. The waiters were friendly & helpful & attentive. By 8:30 on a Wednesday it was very busy, but we were pleased that they did not rush us to turn their table. Loved it!

I entered the bar area via a pawnshop type of area made to replicate the prohibition era. There is a bar scene on one floor with music and drink. The other floor has an area for food. My favourite part of the meal was the tomato soup and dumpling starter. It was so tasty. It is an expensive place but... More

Went here for brunch on the last day of our trip to nyc. Venue is pretty impressive, entrance is a pawnbrokers, which opens out into an opulent bar/restaurant. Menu is comprehensive list of hot/cold/sweet/savory sharing plates. Quality of food was pretty good, although would say number of dishes were made of pre-prepared components (muffins/pancakes/waffles). Service was attentive, slightly chaotic, but... More

I don't know how to express how great our experience here was! I have been wanting to go since it opened, yet have never been able to make it until recently! I went with a bunch of friends and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere is so chic and fabulous, the food was excellent and the drinks were even better!... More

Staying in Lower East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Lower East Side
Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving immigrant past and its modern transformation into a beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side is one of the most dynamic neighborhoods in the city. The blocks of tenements that represented the promise and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience now command top dollar for new residents. Right next to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment shops of Orchard Street, you’ll find hip clubs, fashionable bistros, and luxury hotels beckoning at all hours of the evening. If you love nightlife and live music, it’s hard to beat the scene here.
