A fantastic surprise as you walk in from the porn shop into the restaurant - great bar, food and atmosphere, only downfall is tables close together. We will definitely return when back in New York.

The food was good but by no means great. Also quite expensive. However we (and especially the wife) absolutely loved the whole experience. Somewhere to dress up for in a cool area,

We visited B&E for a company Christmas party. What an experience! From walking through a pawn shop to get into the restaurant to finding a bar in the women's washroom serving complimentary champagne, the entire evening was so unique. The service was very attentive and the food was excellent. The house salad was very good and the grilled cheese and... More

Our Saturday dinner plans were at Beauty & Essex - at first glance was great, good atmosphere, good music, champagne in the ladies room - what could be better! The wine was excellent, but not cold enough. The food was excellent, but the first course (of 3 dishes) came out... More

Very cool atmosphere and delicious food for Sunday brunch. It is a big, open space with amazing decor. Because of the tapa style dining, we ordered up a wide selection of dishes. I highly recommend the grilled cheese with tomato soup, and the eggs with grits, surprisingly wa sone of the groups favorites. The beignets were ridiculously delicious! The staff... More

We had our companies holiday party here this week and had dinner as well as the lounge reserved. The food and drinks were all great. The atmosphere was also unique and fun - you enter through a pawn shop. The staff were overall pretty friendly. Some were very nice, others not so much. In general, it was a great experience... Almost walked past! First time my sister and I had visited here and my sister was convinced it wasn't a restaurant. Those who've been here will know why! Once you step through the inner door you are swept away by how decadent it is. Fab female bar tender made us cocktails while we waited for the third person in our... More
