Behind the facade of a pawnshop is a great restaurant. A quirky place with a fantastic bar and sensational food. We loved the atmosphere, the staff were really friendly. The food is mexican fusion. The kale & apple salad is out of this world, as well as the tuna tacos. I would highly recommend this sister restaurant of lasquina to... More

I recently had the pleasure of celebrating my mothers birthday at B&E. There were 8 of us at dinner and the food was fantastic! My only issue was that we were sitting in the center of the restaurant and it was really tight quarters. I even had a server that was trying to pass behind me spill something on my... More

When you arrive at the address you start wondering if something went wrong ? You walk into the door only to realize you have entered into a vintage pawn shop ! Then you open another door and … there is the amazing with lots of nice people. Great cocktail bar with good alcohol free cocktails as well ( was having... More

I like the entry which is through a thrift store into a bar. Our waitress was nice, made some good suggestions. You order a few plates for each course which was a nice way to do it. The desserts were amazing. That's all the good stuff done, now for the rest of the review: My number one gripe I'll start... More

Had the pleasure of dining here while staying in the lower east side for a few weeks. One of the best meals we had during our visit. Make reservations early or you will not be able to get in. We were able to make reservations early in the evening. 4 of us were dining. We had Pizzetta, Tuna and the... More

Had a business dinner here. It was delicious. Great vibe, delicious food, service was okay. (Our server brought the wrong drinks and when we told her we didn't order these, she just shrugged her shoulders.) The back ribs, scallops, kale salad, pasta, grilled cheese, donuts and butterscotch pudding were solid.

I have been to B&E many times and always love it. The small plates are great for groups to share. Everything I have tried has been fantastic and I love that they serve bubbly rose by the glass (even in the ladies room)!! My go to spot in NYC when I want to have a fun party night because once...
