After learning of this restaurant from seeing the owner Chris Santos on Chopped, I have made it a point to always visit here any time I am visiting New York City. The Emerald Gimlet basil cocktail is wonderful and I have started making them at home with basil from my garden. The dishes served here are all small plates. Diners... More

We really did enjoy our lunch. There were 6 of us put at a table really meant to hold 4 though so we were a little crowded. The portions were also quite small and the prices were a bit high for what you got. We did have a great time there and the inside is really well decorated and quite... More

Killer place for cocktails! You enter in a store-front of jewels and a bouncer then opens the door to an interior bar/restaurant rich with beauty, booze and beats! Must-see in NYC!

This is one of the best restaurants New York has to offer! The impression when you walk in is a real WOW. The food is an excellent fusion from the best of america. Try the pretzelz and the lobster mack n cheese!

Enter a pawn shop (which you can explore at the end), and look ahead to a grand dining space with a very cool vibe. Loved the bar space and the decor, very vintage. Best of all, the menu is wonderfully creative and different Our family of four went for Sunday brunch and we started with the absolutely delicious beignets and... More

We have been to Stanton Social a few times and wanted to try something new, so we decided to try Beauty and Essex. Yes, you walk through a pawn shop. Yes, there is a champagne bar in the bathroom. It is a very trendy restaurant, filled with people who want a scene. We were there for the tapas. Extensive cocktail... More

This is one of the coolest places I've eaten at in a while. From the pawn shop in the front the the lounge area upstairs, you can't help but feel like you've stumbled upon some secret gem (even though its not so secret) Loved the atmosphere and the food was great too. Probably not one of my favorite meals -the... More

Very cool spot - totally what you'd picture as "NYC" vibe. Loud & busy for sure, but that's kind of the point. I could easily hear what my husband was saying across the table, if that's any indication of volume level... FOOD - yum. We had the grilled cheese/tomato soup dumplings - THE BEST. I would've had another order if... More

Really cool place to start the evening, continue and then finish. Not a place for the one who wants to have a profound conversation, this place is loud! After dinner you just slip into the bar and continue having fun. Food is just ok but the atmosphere is great!
