The banana pudding is to die for. I've heard people legit fight over it. The ice box cake is also amazing. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Multiple locations around the city so you should always be close to one. Definitely worth going to.

We had to visit this famous NYC bakery. We had a small variety of goods from here and loved them all. We tried cake, cupcakes and slice. they were all fresh tasting and we found although the shop busy we were served very quickly and the staff were friendly polite and happy to tell you about the products. If you're a fan of candy, you must check this place. Try the banana pudding, the magic cookies bar, double fudge brownie or coconut cupcake. Besides the food, the place it's lovely and the staff super kind.

I mean you can't walk past and not go in, and then of course when you do go in everything just looks so delicious you just have to buy something. HUGE fan of the banana cream pie but the banana pudding is also pretty good.

Magnolia is worth getting a cupcake from. We got cupcakes, cookies and coffee for breakfast. Thankfully we did not have to wait in line. It is a cute little store, with expensive yet tasty treats. There is no where to sit, there is a small bar/sugar mixing station where we stood for a few minutes before going back out in... More

Waited in line a long time and was disappointed in the choices I had left in cupcakes, but I did get some banana pudding. Is the best banana pudding I have ever had.

We stopped at the location in Bloomingdales for a treat and a smiling helper suggested the blondies just coming out of the oven and even sweetly gave us a middle square. It was so good we had to stop at this location between Rockefeller and Times Square. This spot is more chaotic but the blondie was just as good -... More

Despite the fame of the spot, and due to high expectations, I found it an average place with average cakes, mediocre service, and expensive. It was the second year I've been there, and felt the same thing. Probably not to come back........

This could possibly be the best bakery I have ever been to, the banana pudding is to die for although I would suggest going for a small portion as the large is a mountain!! Plenty of other cakes and pastry's on offer. You must visit this bakery if you have a sweet tooth.

In New York, one expects baked goods of top caliber. As a transplanted Southerner, I have been eager to try Magnolia bakery. We finally went and were totally disappointed. The cupcakes were somewhat dry, the coffee bar was out of many choices and the icing on one cupcake was a gloppy grainy mess. Worst of all, a staple Southern dessert,... More
