Touristy and crowded, but delicious

Went here for a quick treat. We fought through the crowds, picked out our cupcakes or other baked goodies and took them across the street to eat them. They were moist and delicious. Worth a little bit of enduring the crowd and the slightly higher than normal prices. But it is NY in the middle... read more

This is such a great bakery to visit and I try to get there , every visit I go , which is usually three times a year. It's becoming a New York city must go for myself, my grandchildren and pickups to bring home for friends and family. I am in Ct. so not far, just an hrs. and 50... More

The BEST Banana Pudding you'll ever have in your life. It's by far the most delicious desert I've ever had in my life. This stuff is not only addicting but it's also legendary!

Great cupcakes. I would normally be a big cupcake fan but there are properly tasty. A good place for a coffee and a treat.

The cupcakes weren't nearly as good as last time we went two years ago. The selection was small and they weren't as moist. This time I had my teenage sons with me and they didn't think they were that amazing. We are pretty certain that our lemon blueberry wasn't that type because it didn't have any blueberries at all. The... More

Be prepared to stand on line for their famous cup cakes! Pricey but delish! so many varieties difficult to choose.

After putting 25000 steps on my Fitbit, I figured a brownie wouldn't hurt. Problem was I ate 3. Sigh. Very friendly servers who directed me to several different types of "bars" or as I call all of them, Brownies. My favorite was a turtle type one. There was quite a line at this place but that speaks volumes. Prices were... More

I live in the south, I may not be a true blue southener but I can very honestly say that when it comes to sweets, cakes, or desserts no one can beat the south. Their food I'm sure is good. I tried the banana pudding just to get to sample their product. It's alright but I would not fall in... More

If you have never been to Magnolia Bakery then you don't know what you are missing. Go inside RIGHT NOW and order a red velvet cupcake. That's right. The taste is somewhere on the scale between "heaven" and "pure joy". You're welcome.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
