stopped in to warm up and was so surprised at how excellent it was. Although it was very crowded, the staff worked quickly and efficiently. Delicious!!

We were here a few years ago and couldn't wait to get back. Went out of our way to stop by and could not be more disappointed. My red velvet cupcake was burnt under the icing. I also had a bite of my son's vanilla cupcake and it was just ok.

Magnolia Bakery has been a staple in our family for years. The cupcakes are simple, delicious and have just the perfect amount of sweetness to them. We love all the flavors but my two favorite flavors are chocolate/chocolate and red velvet. We ordered a few to eat on the street and another dozen to take back home with us. It's... More

Friendly service, great location, awesome coffee and hot chocolate, and fresh, fresh pastries and cupcakes, etc. etc. A great morning stop before you go about your business for the day.

I never dreamed I would pay $5+ for a cupcake but they are well worth it. Just delicious. The service is quick and efficient and they pack them nicely for travel. I think the red velvet was my favorite.

Yes, it's always a long line. There is usually only one cash register open and you have to wait holding your danish or muffin or cupcake, along with your coffee or tea. There is no where to sit-and it's a tight fit for humans of normal size. It's a wonderful bakery but not worth the long wait. Most any deli... More

I am from the south, so I was really surprised that the banana pudding here was so delicious. I didn't try any of the other desserts. There is always a crowd in this place but the line moves quickly. There is no place to sit down and eat so you will need to enjoy everything while standing.

Looked really pretty but I thought the cupcakes were just ok. The red velvet cupcake was too dry but the hummingbird cupcake was just right. The vanilla cheesecake was much better. Items sell out so you might have to be a little flexible when ordering. Go to say you have been but I bet there are better places in NYC... More

I know there are other Magnolia bakeries in NY so I am not sure how the others are but this one was a bit of a disappointment. The place is nice, yes, but so crowded all the time that it looses its character and also it makes you feel like a tourist queing for a souvenir...nothing special really. The cupcakes... More

We stopped in to have a few cupcakes and coffee for my wife's birthday. It was extremely crowded and tough to order as you had to go to different stations to get coffee versus cupcakes. The price wasn't too bad but the cupcakes tasted old - hard and not soft and fresh.
