Like in Italy!

One of the best gelato I've ever had! We just found this shop whilst shopping around this area. It's cozy and quiet atomisphere, staffs are really nice. We ordered medium corn $6.75. A bit pricy but worth it! We chose 3 flavours, mango, lemon and passion fruits. Taste like real fruits! Must try... read more

Went here with my fiancee after having pizza at Motorino. She ordered the cone with orange, strawberry and lemon. The design looked like a flower and on a hot day, was a welcome treat. The gelato was very tasty. Kinda cramped inside the place as a lot of people were there ordering and it was pretty hot inside. You choose... More

My sons and I dropped by Amorino after a chilly morning stroll along The Highline. A street placard advertised the best hot chocolate in the city, which spoke to our cold bones. I've never had real Mexican hot chocolate, but I imagine that it must be similar to Amorino's: Super thick, rich, sweet -- almost a meal in itself. Two... More

beautiful shop, pleasant and friendly servers, wonderful product--but you pay for it. still worth it though. the depth of flavour and the ingredients that go into the cup make it a splurge that challenges the richness of the best cream-based frozen desserts you can imagine. only rated it down from five stars because of value. definitely try it.

We enjoyed wonderful gelato with grand-kids at Amorino, located at 162 Eighth Avenue, near 18 St. after a dance performance at the Joyce Thtr. across the street. Great service from a friendly staff. Kids are still talking about it, want to return asap!

This location is one of six stops on a walking tour, I signed up for. You know the gelato is delicious if people are coming in 30degree weather to eat it. It tastes like a mango without the little stringy pieces. Pure mango is the point I am trying to make. I don't think I can go back to supermarket... More

Run don't walk to this place! I stayed in the Bastille area of Paris for a summer and a local introduced me to this gem. When I learnt it opened in NYC I couldn't wait to get there, and the fact it's located across from Patsy's Pizza and next to Aesop cosmetics was an added bonus. I love the dark... More

We were walking by NYU and had an ice-cream craving. We were only visiting so we didn't know where to go and saw a bunch of people in line at Amorino, it looked like THE place for gelato. And we were NOT disappointed!! We ordered crepes with gelato I asked for a double chocolate (or something similar)... unbelievable! It was... More

After leaving several busy venues behind on University Place, we found the perfect setting at Amorino. The environment is appealing, quiet, and unhurried. Pleasant and engaging staff. Our Café Latte was superb, yet the Coconut Hot Chocolate a supreme treat! The Hot Chocolate, served with fresh whipped cream, was so thick I ate it with a spoon like a hot... More

Staying in Greenwich Village

Neighborhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighborhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighborhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
