This is like my third review of La Carafe. My wife and I have always enjoyed eating here. We arrived after a Saturday matinee to an empty restaurant and left when it was full. They still have a steak, salad, fries and a glass of wine for $21. My only complaint in all my reviews here has been is that... More

What can I say...some times you find a gem.... Service was amazing..just stopped for some drinks and a cheese plate - wine was very reasonably priced at 15$ for house bottle...and massive cheese plate with fantastic variety from all over the world was 10-12$. Bartender (who I think was the owner) was extremely friendly and very hospitable. If I had... More

I took a gamble for a late lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Nice selection of wines by the glass. Poulet paillard avec champignons was the perfect lunch. Cooked perfectly and fresh mushrooms were delicious. Cappucino to finish lunch was perfect. Waiter disappeared a bit, but he was delightful. I'll be back.

This little French/Mediterranean restaurant was a surprisingly great experience. We were a party of 8 at 10 o'clock at night. The charming French Hostess waved her hand and 3 waiters jumped to put tables together The menu had a wide selection but the one we all tried was listed as Steak Frites at a surprisingly low price 0f $21, which... We had a mezze pre-theater meal for 5 here and were seated near the front which opened out onto the street. This is a tiny restaurant with a lovely cozy feel and decor. The staff were very friendly. The food was delicious and plentiful. All reasonably priced too. Highly recommended!

We came here around 11pm on a Sunday night after walking around trying to find something open and good in that area. As we read the menu outside we were greeted by a very nice young lady who assured us that the food would be good. We got a table by the door which was really nice as front doors... More

Grandma ( who charmingly works the front of the house in the evenings with a glass of rose in hand! ) and her French crew run a charming, fun, and good value ( for Hells' Kitchen ) Greek meets Spain restaurant. Take advantage of the appetizer plates. Good value on wines by the glass, and a great attitude from everyone.... More

It's important to know that despite the name, this is not a French restaurant. There is an eclectic menu (not extensive), including Middle Eastern appetizers. It's a small place, a little noisy due to street traffic. The servers were very pleasant and accommodating. Portions are a bit small. They accept restaurant.com which made it quite reasonable.
