We had a mezze pre-theater meal for 5 here and were seated near the front which opened out onto the street. This is a tiny restaurant with a lovely cozy feel and decor. The staff were very friendly. The food was delicious and plentiful. All reasonably priced too. Highly recommended!

We came here around 11pm on a Sunday night after walking around trying to find something open and good in that area. As we read the menu outside we were greeted by a very nice young lady who assured us that the food would be good. We got a table by the door which was really nice as front doors... More

Grandma ( who charmingly works the front of the house in the evenings with a glass of rose in hand! ) and her French crew run a charming, fun, and good value ( for Hells' Kitchen ) Greek meets Spain restaurant. Take advantage of the appetizer plates. Good value on wines by the glass, and a great attitude from everyone.... More

It's important to know that despite the name, this is not a French restaurant. There is an eclectic menu (not extensive), including Middle Eastern appetizers. It's a small place, a little noisy due to street traffic. The servers were very pleasant and accommodating. Portions are a bit small. They accept restaurant.com which made it quite reasonable.

Excellent service and smaller petit dishes and delicious flavors. My favorite is the Shrimp Beignets. Great salads too.

My girlfriend and I were wandering about untill we found La Carafe and had the Mussles and Steak menu. We could choose the wine which was included. The price was very reasonable $20. The dinner suprised us and the service was great, very helpful and friendly. We are coming back tomorrow to try the pasta's :-) We really recommend this... More

Bad wine (as in, it had definitely gone bad from sitting open too long), crappy food (terrible eggplant), and a angry lady guarding the door. Not recommended.

Good prices on the (relatively limited) prix fixe menu, with the desserts being the star. The service was disorganized and the restaurant was louder than it needed to be. I wouldn't go back, but I wouldn't discourage someone from trying it if they were on 9th Ave in the 40s.

We were in NYC for the 2014 Gift Show and stumbled across this restaurant. It is a small intimate space with a wonderful staff and really great food. We started with wine and tapanade - delicious. I had the veal in lovely mushroom cream sauce - it was incredible. Finished with a vanilla ice cream filled puff pastry. When I... More
