Great Food and excellent service

4 for dinner. Sunday evening around 7:30. The restaurant was quite busy but a very pleasant room to be in. We had 4 mains smoked duck , fried chicken , ravioli with ricotta and a very tasty rabbit stew. All delicious. Washed down with a lovely tempranillo from Oregon. We shared a lovely... read more

Up there with the best place we tried while on holiday! Recommended by the girls at Dear Irving and we were very happy!! Booked a table and waited 20 mins at the bar, which is no problem as the Bloody Mary's are great and the bar team really look after you! Great atmosphere, great service, great food and drink -... From the winter kale salad to the fried chicken and hanger steak with kimchi rice, everything we ate at the Dutch was delicious. We particularly enjoyed the devil's food cake with white Russian ice cream for dessert. The service was a little distracted during our meal—my husband ordered a second cocktail that never arrived—but we thought the food was excellent.

I went to celebrate my birthday with my Girlfriend. Since we entered the door, the staff was great, making sure we were comfortable but without being too intrusive (I hate when some people popup and ask "is everything ok over here?"), you could tell the staff was just walking around making sure all was good, glasses were filled, etc without... Enjoyed the dinner. Had the hanger steak with kimchi rice and it was very tasty. Boyfriend had the scallops and they were quite good. Had beet salad with avocado. Small portion of salad was definitely not worth the $14 cost. Spaghetti squash was a very nice side dish. Did not like the cappuccino at all. The total meal was pricey,... More

Went to the Dutch to have brunch on Sunday Morning! We didn't had a reservation, but as it was opening they just got us a table. I order the smoked salmon bagel, that was really great! It also came with scrambled eggs and with caviar, my fiancé ordered the omelette with salad and we also ordered the house made potatoes!... More

Wonderful place tucked away in the Village. Great cocktails, good selection of beers and wine. Most importantly, the food is absolutely AMAZING. Had the eggplant dip appetizer, fried chicken dinner entree (and tasted my friend's duck dish) - some of the best I've had anywhere in New York City. The place is very nicely decorated, good wait staff (make a... More

We booked a place here for New Years eve for the fixed menu dinner. The food was great. The atmosphere was fun and informal, yet the service was great. My only beef with the place is that for the price of $135/head there could have been a bit more flexibility on the extras. Nevertheless, as the place was jam-packed I'm... More

We felt the restaurant delivered on all it's promises -- a vibrant scene, excellent service, pristine ingredients, and skilled hands in the kitchen. One should also mentioned great cocktails and a versatile wine list. Everything from the raw bar was terrific, especially the lobster royale and the oysters. All the mains from the fried chicken, to the hanger steak, to... More

Went to the dutch quite a few times, very friendly waiters, good beer, good food. A bit pricey, but that comes with the good service.
