I've been to this restaurant last May, during my first stay in the Big Apple. It is very centrally located, in the heart of Greewich Village, at the corner of Sullivan St and Prince St. The restaurant is quite big, with different rooms; however, it preserve a nice and cosy atmosphere, with lights turned low in the evening. It is... More

I followed the recommendations from a few different sites and was glad that we did. There was a very fun, lively crowd on a Tuesday night. Restaurant has a great ambiance, warm and casual, but with personality and eclectic style. Service was just right without being overwhelming and the recommendations were right on, we enjoyed everything we ordered and wish... More

sometimes recommendations from friends don't meet expectations. Going to The Dutch exceeded. Nice NYC buzz and ambience, super California wine options. The four of us really enjoyed light, exceptionally well prepared dishes...kudos to the staff, attentive and friendly staff all round in a busy environment. Reasonable prices, worth splurging on one fine bottle of wine. Will be back...

It was a rainy, chilly fall day in Manhattan and I was hungry, wandering the streets of Soho, with time to kill and a cold that was coming on. I finally just wandered into The Dutch, at the end of lunch (1:30 or 2 p.m.), and took my bedraggled, wet self into the restaurant. The greeting was lovely, my wet... More

Crowded, noisy but interesting. Very loud at lunch time. I liked the way this restaurant is put together and the chic "garage meets garden party" vibe you get when you step in but, the food was extremely boring and I was expecting their menu to be a bit more original. Lovely team!

Delicious! Great Fall meal. Cozy and yet lively. The eggplant app was really tasty along with the pork dish. Arrived at 6 and got a table right away.

Quite crowded and clearly trending, very, very noisy, tables very close together. Excellent advice on wines if you are interested. Oysters were good. Other apps, menus items, and one special were disappointing. Each of us left food on our plates.

Party of six tasting different appetizers, main courses, and desserts. Food was tasteless and portions small. Service lacked any enthusiasm. No reason to go there and certainly no reason to return. Seems successful chef / owner either doesn't care or is depressed.

We found our way to the Dutch on a mission to get a great bloody mary-- mission accomplished. I also had the most delicious little biscuits, that I am still thinking about, and a wonderful mushroom omelette.

There is one thing I always do when i travel : i only read the bad revues on many websites about the places i want to visit. The Dutch was one of them. I had heard so much about this place : "the place to get a brunch" ; "the place to get a bloody mary next to a movie... More
