I rated this place 3/5, but a lot depends on what you are expecting and what you are in the mood for. I went with a friend in search of "good German food" and this place was close to our hotel and so we gave it a try. It was "Octoberfest" and the place was swinging--lots of people, and the... More

We decided to meet for lunch in September and since the both of us live in different states, we agreed to meet midway between us. So we had lunch at The Bierhaus in Manhattan near Grand Central Terminal. The restaurant is on the second floor at 712 3rd Avenue near E 45 Street; and it’s a smaller version of an... More

After walking out of a steakhouse that had a ridiculous and misleading special deal, my friend and I happened upon this place via a Scoutmob deal. Walking into the Hobfbrauhaus-like room (though much smaller), I was immediately transported to Germany...and I'm happy to be anywhere that transports me to Europe! We sat at a long picnic-like table, and with a... More

Went in for a quick pint and a bite to eat. The beer was excellent, the food was so-so. We went with a group of friends at night, it was very noisy with outdated music for a DJ in the corner. I feel like they should have a place to dance and a better DJ to get the people up... More

Step inside this haus and you step into Munich. I've been to beer halls in Germany, even Haufbrauf Haus, and this place is spot on. It's lively with good beer and bar food. My wife and I were here for her birthday and the band brought on her on stage and had the entire bar sing "Happy Birthday." The best... More

We made a mistake...tourists time and we love German food so we climbed the wooden stairs to the second floor and were pleasantly greeted by a waitress in a dirndl. So far so good. The room is large wooden tables in the center with chairs, and smaller tables all around with tv's on the wall (sports) and the bar at... More

We're sorry to hear the noise put you off, Lisa. We know that this isn't everyone's thing, but we have a lot of customers who really like the raucous atmosphere we provide. Had you let your server know you'd have preferred to sit somewhere quieter, we'd have happily tried to make some space for you on our patio. We're glad... More

If you're a 21+ beer enthusiast you'll definitely like this place. It's an authentic German beer house, with real german food and heavy german beer. The atmosphere is nice, with live music in the evening and a screening of German football clubs' games.
