My wife and I stumbled over this diner on our way back to Broadway form visiting the USS Intrepid. It was delightful. As soon as we sat down we were given a glass of iced water. We had only intended in stopping off for a light snack or a drink. We ended up having a two course meal each. Two... read more

A great late night place - but breakfast is great anytime. They really get to know you if you are a regular, putting down 'your beverage' down as you sit. Late night manager has become a friend when he's not busy with steady stream of delivery. Whether you are a regular or a tourist checking out the West Side, you... More

I visit this diner after a night on the town and for breakfast with the crew, both times the food was fast and hit the mark. As an evening joint they served us quick food and when I returned they accommodated my group of seven with no problems. The food was great I had an excellent eggs Benny with Canadian... More

The 'Diner' was the best known bar/diner in New York to the likes of myself who sailed in and out of New York in the 1950s / 1960s. The owner Joe Zelin sponsored the darts and cribbage contests held aboard the Cunard Liners and the Diner was first stop ashore for the fine food in the diner and the great... More

I recently had the privilege of having breakfast at the diner. I was greeted promptly and service was lightning fast. The diner was very clean and the portions were quite large. Bring your appetite as you wont leave hungry.

Visited this diner before heading off for our boat cruise. Good choice of breakfasts here and all served quickly. Food quality was good. Basic American diner setting and plenty of seats. Good service and actually this was probably the cheapest place we had breakfast during our stay but great value. My son had the omelette and my daughter and I... More

Good food, fast service, reasonable prices. We went for lunch after our Circle Line Cruise. Party of 4, very difference selections, all very tasty. The Reuben was seriously yummy, Cajun Chicken & pasta was a huge serving, Patty Melt was great for the lighter appetite. Try the soup of the day -- the one we had was very good.

After reading reviews we decided to try the Market Diner after theater. Yiikes the place was empty at 9:30pm, the glass on the doors was dirty, overall the whole diner was dingy and needed a Clorox bath! I ordered a ham and cheese omelet which was ok, but the home fries were awful. They were not hot or crisp! my... More

This in one of my main attraction when I visit NY. Love the location, generous platters and friendly service.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
