We were flagging from a long trip around the Intrepid and then walking back into the city. Came across this diner and HAD to stop. We only wanted a drink but were 'forced' into some cake when we saw what they had. Wow. A huge and most delicious piece of New York cheesecake. It was absolutely fabulous. OK so this... More

We usually stay on Times Square and have breakfast at Juniors but this time we stayed at Hells Kitchen and breakfasted at Market Diner. Great and friendly service, fantastic breakfast at a reasonable price. Would highly recommend it.

Nothing is cheap in New York but this Greek diner was high quality and served good food. The portion sizes were large and my steak came with fries and a large salad.

Stopped for a bite after the circle line harbor lights cruise. The Market Diner is about a block and half from the pier. Very large menu with lots of choices for even the pickiest eaters. Ordered the Greek chicken wrap, western omelette, and disco fries. Everyone enjoyed their food and service was quick! Loved the ambiance, which was very modern... More

3pm and having just got off a sightseeing cruise, we were looking for somewhere to eat. Came across Market Diner at 572 11th Av (corner 43rd). Inside we found that it was bright and clean and a quite atmosphere. We were looked after by Genaro who has worked three for 18 years. Food is varied and available 24/7. Prices are... More

It was great to actually go into a place to eat! Driving a motor coach in the city makes it difficult at best. The food was some of the best I have been able to experience in NYC and just had to do a double take, don't see alcohol served at a diner in the south. LOL

We stayed at the Kimpton down the street and this was very close to us. It's a reasonably priced diner in the city. The service is quick, the staff was friendly and they do breakfast well. The first day I had the stuffed French toast. It was very large and very good. Jack had the California omelette that came with... More

Needed to find a quick meal before a cruise to around the City. Looked up on Trip Advisor and found this diner. We have it a try and were very happy with this choice. The food was fantastic and the service was friendly and quick. They make a great Manhattan as well. Could not have asked for a better place... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
