Great food!

Chose this after walking past a dozen or so restaurants. Maître D' didn't hover around the sidewalk menu like at other restaurant, which was nice. Food was amazing with generous portions.

Were there on Sunday of Memorial weekend. Menus looked good. Once seated and orders placed, appetizers took awhile to get there, server was inattentive, when main courses arrived - 3 out of 4 dishes were cold. Very disappointing experience.

We chose to eat at Sofia's because of decent online reviews but were thoroughly disappointed by the poor service and lack of seasoning on the food. Our waiter was terrible - we could not get water at the table and although he told us we could split the ticket (we asked before ordering) he would not accommodate at the end... More

On the outside of the restaurant they had a blackboard with a list of Lunch specials. That attracted my eye so we were seated and given regular menu's and not the lunch special list. I had to ask for that menu. So when we came to order the Lasagna (which was both written down on the blackboard outside and also... More

Food was good .... but yes expensive. Watch out for the ravioli.... not a big plate and there's 5 different prices on the menu, make sure you confirm which want you are ordering. Bill was not as per what we ordered. CHECK your bill before paying. Gratuities are automatically added.... so service is not that hot - not worth the... More

We happened to find Sofia's during a recent visit to Little Italy while on a trip to NYC. We started with caprese and it was fantastic. Perfect buffalo mozzarella and nice presentation. After several perfectly made cocktails, we decided to try the chicken marsala and it was 'to die for'. Thought it was phenomenal. We were welcomed by a wonderful... More

We stopped here for dinner one late afternoon last week. We ordered some appetizers of olives and prosciutto with a pizza and pasta dish after. We also ordered 2 glasses of prosecco, the check came to around $80!! The food was mediocre at best, there was a tonne of olive oil on everything therefore all the food tasted very peppery.... More

We stopped at Sophia's in Little Italy because we wanted some good Italian food and the experience the area. The food was great. I had the lasagna, which was fabulous! Meatballs were really good too!

I went there the other day and ordered a pasta dish and a pizza. None of the dishes tasted of anything and the pasta wasnt cooked properly. When I mentioned it to the waiter, he couldnt care less. Later i found out why - they included 20% tip in the bill. Go somewhere else, there are lots of good places... More

Staying in Little Italy

Neighborhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
