There were many choices on the menu. The food was very good with plenty of flavor. We tried Sofia's based on reviews and we were not disappointed. We actually went on a freezing cold night in February 2015 when very few people were out in the neighborhood. So, we were able to get in without any wait.

Had dinner with my daughter during a weekend trip to NYC. Ordered a simple Caesar salad with chicken, spaghetti with meatballs, water and appetizer. The bill was $50. Price not bad but service was slower than expected and food was blander than I like. I had to ask for water refills twice while the table next to me got refills... More

We experienced a wonderful experience with our server who gave excellent recommendations and also was able to accommodate special requests. I was interested in having pesto, rather than marinara, and I also wanted to add prosciutto to my classic ravioli - no problem! The homemade bread was absolutely delicious and the appetizers we ordered were also great - recommend the... More

I stopped here with my family of four for a Sunday lunch. I should have listened to my instincts and left when the waitress came over and acted bored and lazy to be there. We all ordered the same thing, chicken Parmesan that included only one choice of soup, minestrone. They should have opened up a can of soup instead... More

Service slow. Eggplant rolatini good, lobster ravioli ok. Fresh fettuccini good but cost $5 more. Otherwise food mediocre. Served frozen lobster tail that was tough. Fra Daviola sauce bland. Don't bother.

We had dinner there. The restaurant is not a budget one but the portions are large and the meals are tasty. The atmosphere is great. The restaurant might be a good choice for every occasion: a date, family dinner, business meeting or just hanging out with friends. The service is excellent.

Had lunch for four people, all different choices and everyone enjoyed their choice. Good atmosphere, we were outside. Will be going back.

Just happened upon this place and had a lovely dinner there. Service was excellent, reasonable prices and not too noisy for conversation.

Neighborhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
