This is a fish market inside Chelsea Market. You have to walk through the crowds around two corners and you see it--full of fresh fish, sushi, raw and prepared. In the back there is a tiny counter where you can order lobster rolls and get soup. It was hands down the best lobster roll and New England clam chowder I... More

It's situated within the Chelsea Market, it looks like a giant super top quality fish market but when you look more closely, you can find a sushi bar (where you can sit and eat the sushi's you'll chose and that will be made for you in front of you) or better : a lobster corner where you can order to... This place has everything! The oysters at the raw bar are shucked in front of you and ready to slurp down, the whole lobsters in the back and steamed up fresh and ready to eat, the sushi is fresh, and the little kitchen in the back makes some tasty lobster rolls! I can't believe it took me this long to... More

My husband, son, and I ate at the Lobster Place. The food was extremely good as we tried the lobster roll, shrimp roll, and sushi. The tab was expensive for lunch, but it was worth it. The only problem was it was hard to find a table to sit at. The environment was extremely interesting as the building used to... More

Looks good, but taste not as good as I expect. Inside the store doesn't have many seats, you can buy & sit outside the store. Is a interesting place to visit.

This place has a huge variety of fish and seafood for take out or to take home for preparation. Their crab cakes and mustard sauce are excellent. The pre-made sushi looks better than it is - everything tastes the same - maybe the cases are too cold? Made to order is much much better. They have huge steamed lobsters.

We went here based on previous reviews and I have to say every positive review that I read on here echos what I thought. We were welcomed instantly and seated, our drink order was taken and we were delivered our drinks within minitues. The staff were brilliant very knowledgable about the menu and happy to talk to you even congratulating... More

The first thing you need to know is that this is a market, not a restaurant. Getting a seat is always a challenge so if you're more than 3-4 people be prepared to eat in the corridor/common area. The second thing is, stay away from the sushi. Not that it's not safe or fresh. It is not made to order,... More

Sushi, lobster, oysters, chowder????? Ah the choices and all first class. It's probably easier to decide before you walk in, we hadn't made any decisions and so walked in circles for 20 minutes drooling before settling on Lobster which was superb.

Great place, always busy. Awesome chowder, and the lobster looked amazing. Wish we'd gone back but too much choice in NYC!
