I have been to Mr Robata a few days ago and enjoyed the experience. The plus of my experience was definitely the very professional and friendly service received. The food was also very good but ridiculously small portions. Even my girlfriend who doesn't usually eat that much thought the portion was small. Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

I was there with colleagues and enjoyed the food. I had the Tuna Carpaccio which was awesome. The atmosphere is nice, the staff friendly and the food was great.

We went for the happy hour specials and the good selection of drinks. We got high priced drinks with limited food selections at happy hour prices. Sushi was average and priced between $4-$5 per piece. Too high for what you get. The happy hour consisted mostly of rolls which were mostly rice and "filler".

The atmosphere in this small sushi grill was very comfortable. My favorite part of my meal, which included their New York New York sushi roll (yummy) was the delectable grilled artichoke! If I had had any idea how good that was going to be, I probably would have skipped the sushi roll. I will eat there when I return to... More

I took my sister here because we remembered a restaurant of the same name on the upper east side, minus the Mr. We ordered sushi and were impressed with the modern presentation. Overall, the décor could use some classing up, and the service was a bit wan, but the food and wine, although pricey, was fabulous!

We took a chance at Mr Robata after the Letterman taping and we were pleasantly surprised. Sushi was top notch and the service matched the food. Service staff was friendly and attentive. Worth a visit if your in the area.

Was looking for Gallagher's Steakhouse which recently closed and found this place nearby, the filet mignon was done perfectly rare the way I ordered it and my wife's seabass was fresh and delicious. I also ordered sashimi sea urchin which was also very fresh and good. Great service as well. I would definitely recommend this place.

Mr. Robata Sushi Wow! I was totally impressed and was not expecting such a fabulous meal so close to Times Square and the turn em and burn em tourist traps. I saw that one of my discerning New York friends had checked in here a few times on foursquare so I figured I would try it out and took four... More

Went to this restaurant before a play. Found it through hotel guide. Nice presentation of dishes, but the sushi was average. Nothing special. Edamame was steamed with salt, no herbs. Service was ok. Had to ask for waiter to come back. Miso soup rather salty.

I visited Mr. Robata for the first time in November, 2011, and can honestly say that it was one of the best dining experiences that I have had. The food was exquisite in preparation and presentation. I couldn't say enough great things about it and ended up going 3 times in a 2-day period. You can read my review from... More
