Our expert chefs personify New York boldness, mixing daring inspiration with a fine dining atmosphere. Our dynamic menu will delight you with a variety of the highest grade sushi, robata, and chef's specials. Join us and share in an ageless tradition of indulgence. Closed, now a diner.

Robatta had great food, different and inventive. At one point they stopped serving lunch then they closed all together replaced by a diner/bar. Oddly enough it's attached to a strip club with a secret door to get in there assuming that door made it through the renovation.

I make it a point to visit this restaurant every time I am in New York. Staff is friendly and restaurant is comfortable. Food is fresh and tasty. Sit at the bar and watch the chefs cook your food and make your sushi right in front of you.

On Broadway at the northern edge of the theater district, you can choose a combination of sushi, sashimi, or Japanese barbeque, all of which were good. And they are open until 1 am every night except Sunday (12 midnight), so if you like to eat after the play, you do not have to rush from the theater to get to... More

We arrived before the theaters let out and had the place to ourselves. Service was excellent and the sushi was fresh. Tuna tacos, and grilled wings were both unique items in addition to the standard rolls.

Enjoyed Mr. Robata this week before attending a show. The rolls were creative, fresh and delicious. The salads we ordered prior to dinner were unique and in large portions.

Have visited this location on several occasions and is one of the best sushi restaurants I have eaten at. Grab a seat at the bar and watch the chefs prepare food. Items are fresh and tasty. Good menu selection.

This is a modern restaurant and the atmosphere was very good. We came here with a bunch of friends to celebrate, the night before their wedding. The food was great, although the portions were not the biggest, but we appreciated the service and enjoyed the drinks and Japanese beer. We left a little late, and pretty much closed the restaurant,... More

I have been to Mr Robata a few days ago and enjoyed the experience. The plus of my experience was definitely the very professional and friendly service received. The food was also very good but ridiculously small portions. Even my girlfriend who doesn't usually eat that much thought the portion was small. Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

I was there with colleagues and enjoyed the food. I had the Tuna Carpaccio which was awesome. The atmosphere is nice, the staff friendly and the food was great.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
