I think the title says it all. This is a three star review as we went to drink and just happened to eat. The food was overpriced and not particularly spectacular (I had a burger and fries, which was pretty 'meh' to be honest). Had we gone to eat it would have been a two star review but the range... We stopped in here on a Tuesday for lunch. There is not an overabundance of quick, easy, good lunch spots in this area and it was freezing so we decided to try it. From the first moment you walk in, you know their main business is drinking. It's just a bar with a few tables and stools for those who... More

Unless you're a raging alcoholic there is no reason to consider eating there. The place is really a bar with a smattering of uncomfortable seats for eating. We had the Messy Breakfast Sandwich which lived up to its name of messy and the Huevos Rancheros, both were very disappointing. How can you make flavorless eggs, ask Brinkley's Station as they’ve... we visited this place recently on a Monday night. it is a clean, smallish, but cozy pub. the lighting is way too dim though, and we pulled out a flashlight to read the menu. the menu is extremely limited, with typical manhattan prices. the grass-fed burger was delicious, and so was the eggplant and chick pea burger. they both came on... We were on a girls weekend in NY. It was far too dark to be able to see the menu and the music was too loud. The food was decidedly average. The hummus was watery and tasteless. The fries were more like potato wedges then fries. The calamari was tough and overcooked. To be fair the quinoa salad was good.... More

After doing our shopping on Black Friday, we spotted Brinkley's near Bloomingdales. We were intrigued by the interior decor and its friendly feel. Upon reviewing the menu we were told the only wines and beer were from the state of New York. We didn't think that by itself would be a problem until we tasted the wine. It was served... More

The food's just OK, but not nearly good enough once you factor in the prices. I ordered the $18 Brussels sprouts and kale salad and had the optional $7 add-on grilled mahi-mahi. I assumed it would be a very large entree salad, but really, it was slightly larger than a starter salad, and the flavor was just blah - overdressed... More

On first night in NYC we ate at this restaurant on 60th by Bloomingdale's. Place was hopping, very energetic or noisy for some. Brought our teenage daughters (one in her early 20's), but place is more suited for a 20 or 30 something crowd as it is more bar than restaurant. None of that is bad, just what this establishment... We were there for lunch. No problem to get a good table. The food was great. In particular we think they offer the best french fries in town, really. We also tried the cheakpeas and eggplant burger: it was outstanding.

This is a particularly fine place for a casual but very good lunch. I had a very good, almost excellent beet and goat cheese salad of spinach and other dark greens. The tasty house dressing was expertly applied; it was neither dripping nor sparse. My dining companion had a very good fresh chicken and avocado sandwich. The room is airy... More
