GREAT people watching

Delish guac and drinks, and a great scene to keep you entertained. Also a great way to get a tast of what Meatpacking has to offer without dealing with lines and bouncers!

We ate a better Mexican dinner for half the price the next day in Bleecker Street. This place was slow to serve, the fod was bland and the prices were over inflated. We capped off the night with a walk through the nearby Conrad Hilton Hotel. Ahh. That's how this place makes its money.

Dos Caminos offers a great brunch and had absolutely the best Bloody Mary. The price is right and the ambiance really good; we dined on the 2nd floor. This is my second visit to this restaurant and I would not hesitate to go back.

We were staying in Greenwich village and heard about this fantastic Mexican restaurant ,we were not disopointed.Thefood and service was very good with great Mexican beer and wine and the staff were brilliant. The restaurant seemed to be family friendly with a good mix of age groups and not expensive, not to be missed.

Sorry, I can't imagine which Mexican food other reviewers have had in New York if they thought this was the best. Though limited, from the descriptions of the dishes and the price tags, the menu promised more than it delivered. We thought it was okay, no more than that, and certainly not worth what we paid.

There are a lot of restaurants in the area so competition is pretty tough. Dos Caminos, fortunately is a tough competitor and came through quite nicely with good food, good value and a nice time. They are also quite child friendly. Guacamole is excellent and the various entrees around the table got high marks from everybody. Margaritas are very well... More

We just happened upon Dos Caminos restaurant and it turned out to be a great meal. Never to be confused with Tex-Mex, this is real Mexican cuisine. My first time having guacamole. It will not be the last. Thanks for making my maiden guacamole experience tasty. Service was great. They are known for their margaritas and beer, but I had... More

Walked in here without a reservation (just stumbled across the place) The staff were very polite and found us a high table on the side. The menu for me was a bit light, I would like a few more options however what I did order was superb. I has the steak (had spices & a few other things on) For... More

we never plan to diner there, but we always end up choose it - the outdoor design, the interior, the menu, all attractive and good. Menu selection is good, food is above average, service was friendly.

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
