This is my third time at the Red Rooster and it continues to be a NYC restaurant beyond compare. My wife and I liked it so much that we invited a second group of friends to this OUTSTANDING place. They will all IMPRESSED!! CHECK IT OUT, PLEASE!! While all is great, check out the Viking green apple dessert. If you... More

Kept hearing raves about this Harlem revival restaurant and its black Swedish chef. Place was very crowded and very noisy, with people and also a band, so impossible to have a conversation with dinner companions. Although we had a reservation (a must), we still waited app 45 minutes. Once seated, service was pleasant and fairly rapid, and food was good,... More

We chose this restaurant because of the mostly good reviews and an opportunity to visit another community in New York we had not been to. We arrived early for our reservation, but were told we could wait in the lounge and would likely be seated early in the dining room. We sat in the lounge for over 30 minutes and... More

Stopped by and ate at the bar. The Obamatini went back on the menu. Still tasty. The food is still great like it was last time. Had the Yard Bird. Fried chicken Red Rooster style. Awesome Will be back again in January

We have been looking for another opportunity to go there again, had brunch there and it was AWESOME, the catfish was tremendous. The only thing holding me back was the service we got. The reason we haven't been back is because I just really didn't want to take a chance on getting super slow service and miss-communication from the waiter... More

Had dinner at this restaurant and the food was mighty great. The fish was to die for!!! Real spicy and tasty. I finished my serving in a flash. The atmosphere was also superb. Had a live band playing Salsa music on a Tuesday night and was also to dance and shake my bones a little. You just can't miss this... More

Booked a reservation. When i got there the place was hopping with a jazz singer. Food was outstanding, from the Chicken and Waffle, to the Shrimp and Grits, and finished with a Pear and Pecan Cobbler. Service was outstanding!

I just went to this place today and what a pleasant experience it was! There was a live band going on along with people clapping away. Great place to go for a Sunday brunch for sure! The food is good, as well as the service, which includes friendly staff (not always the case in NYC). I do have some minor... More
