This place is awesome. This place WAS on my "bucket list". (check). The staff is friendly. As soon as I was seated I saw Chef Marcus who came over and spoke with us and took a picture! (check). Food arrived in a timely manner. The presentation was great. The food taste just as great as it looked. and Affordable! look forward... More

Love the ambiance in this restaurant. Perfect Harlem vibe, at least the way the movies help us envision it. Great live band, everybody seems to know each other and the staff welcomes you like you're an honored guest. Service is attentive without being overbearing and the food was a couple notches above good but not great. There was no memorable... More

Dined here with my spouse early on a Saturday night the past weekend, and can say without question we both had an extremely enjoyable experience at Red Rooster. Took a cab from our hotel, - not too bad for cost from Mid-Town. Restaurant is nothing major from outside, but inside - it's hopping with lots of positive energy and sounds.... More

Nice restaurant and decor. Ordered an appetizer which was enough to fill me up. Good service and excellent server. Nice patio area for outside eating. Bar available if you're eating alone or in for a quick meal. Would recommend and go back again.

Came here instead of Silvia´s and really liked it. Had to try the fried chicken (Yard Bird) which was very good but not the best we´ve ever had. It looked huge when it arrived and it took a moment before remembering that it was the cock and not the hen that they serve - ergo, quite a bit larger than... More

Took my family to Red Rooster today to eat. Great atmosphere, great food, and you know it's good when the owner eats at the restaurant himself. Marcus was there and graciously talked with my family and took a picture with us. Do not miss the Mac and Greens and the chicken and waffles.....

I've been here twice, when it first opened and again this past Sunday for brunch. I really wanted to like this place but it always disappoints miserably. First there was a really obnoxious singer, actually using the term singer is a bit generous, as far as I could tell she was squawking off-key at an obscenely high volume into the... More

Still a lot of fun. Band on Sunday was a great night. I would visit again. Note, it feels less and less like Harlem with each trip. Lots of tourists and 'Manhatton folks' hanging out in Harlem. Great vibe. Everyone there to have a good time.

My husband and I really enjoyed our dinner at the Red Rooster. Loved the ambience and our entrees (yard bird and blackened catfish) were very tasty. Our only regret was deciding to share dessert, because the portion was tiny compared to most restaurants.

If you're going there because of the food & celebrity chef, it' a waste of time. Food is just OK! If you're going because of the ambience, go for it. We went for dinner on a Moday night. Why? Because of the live R&B music played on the bar area. And belive me, it was awsome (not for the food)!
