Nice ambiance but the food was less than desirable

I picked Lair for a client outing because it's a nicely decorated lounge with a large bar. Unfortunately the food was less than desirable. The sliders came out cold and I had to send them back to the kitchen. Also the Gossip Girl shrimp appetizers were terrible. I was thoroughly disappointed... read more

I went here for a party last weekend...really one of the worst experiences I've had out. Whoever was in charge was trying to charge everyone open bar, despite being told not everyone would have to. I was given a hard time by whoever was in charge of the place despite being PREGNANT. Really, you want the pregnant girl to get... More

We made a reservation thinking that it was a restaurant but the seating arrangements are more geared to a bar setting. If you are looking to have a sit down dinner this restaurant/bar may not provide the best setting because the couches are not comfortable for that purpose. The place is great for having drinks and sharing hors d'oeuvres. The... More

We went here thinking it was more of a restaurant, but it is definitely just a bar. Well, they did serve a few bar food items, Asian style, like dumplings, but that was it. When you walk in, you push back black curtains to enter. Dramatic interesting entry. Then, the seating areas were arranged intimately and the lighting was not... More

Staying in SoHo

Neighborhood Profile
SoHo
Once the artistic hub of New York, SoHo is now one of the premiere shopping destinations in the world. Housing everything from the most popular luxury brands to swank boutiques you won’t find anywhere else, this is a sophisticated shopper’s dream come true. Broadway is teeming with big-name stores and people during the day, while Prince and Spring Streets are the other main drags to explore. Take a detour down the quieter side streets to see the real star of the district – the world’s largest collection of intricate and elegant cast-iron architecture. What were once warehouses and art studios are now meticulously restored loft buildings favored by many of New York’s celebrities, making SoHo one of the trendiest addresses in the city.
