Description: The Statler Grill harkens back to the golden age of the big band era, and is named after Ellsworth Statler, who ran the Hotel Pennsylvania from 1919 to 1954, when musicians such as Tommy Dorsey, Count Basie and Glenn Miller played at the Cafe Rouge, the hotel's main dining room. The Statler serves classic New York steakhouse prime steaks and chops as well as daily delivered fresh seafood, while the bar and lounge serve a delicious grill menu. Located just steps away from Pennsylvania Station and Madison Square Garden, it is the perfect place to have a breakfast meeting, a meal before an event at the Garden, or just to relax with friends and co-workers during happy hour before you hop on the train. It is all about the food and service says owner Joseph Lavelle. "I want my guests to enjoy themselves, have a great meal and return again and again".

Located within the Hotel Pennsylvania, this steakhouse has great appetizers, good drinks and amazing steaks. It gets crowded and noisy, so best to come early. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Helpful staff and nice portions.

We were very impressed with the service at Statler’s Grill. We used the Groupon for 4 people. We found the wait staff to be very accommodating. The food was very good. The guys ordered the steak and thoroughly enjoyed it. My sea bass was a bit overcooked and the Manager acknowledged this when he visited our table. He offered to... More

This place is a good stop if you have an event at the Garden as that area is short in places to get a good meal. The service here was incredibly slow but the manager redeemed them for making up for slowness by taking our orders himself. And while it was busy due to a big concert at the garden... More

Last evening, my fiance and I had tickets for the opening night of Les Misérables. I had purchased a Groupon some time ago for the Statler Grill and we had that on hold as the reviews here have been much less than glowing. Last night, that Groupon was about to expire and so we decided, as bad as the restaurant... More

We walked out of the $10 brunch after taking one look at it. Cold cuts and slices of processed cheese? Really?

Stopped in on Feb 22, 2014 for a late brunch. Had waffles, bacon and eggs. My boyfriend had pancakes, bacon and eggs. His pancakes were hard like cornbread, we sent then back. The bacon and eggs were good, but otherwise this was average. The water glasses were greasy.

So listen this was a great deal and, if you book it through the hotel (Hotel Pennsylvania) can be had for a real good price. Coffee, tea, milk, hard boiled eggs, ham, cheese, and many other items are available for the cost of the meal. I looked at the menu for lunch and dinner and felt that the prices were... More

Groupon deal sucks. Dinner for 4 $175 you will be presented with additional check in the amount of $58.68 for mandatory gratuity which is %34 for the tip. The way they explained it is mandatory tip is calculated from the full amount.

We went here for the first time for dinner before the Luke Bryan concert. We bought a Groupon for 4 which cost $176.00. It included 4 appetizers, 4 entree's, 4 sides, dessert and 2 bottles of wine!..Well worth the coupon. When you walk in they immediately ask you if you have a Groupon, which kinda annoyed me, but with that... More

I was a little hesitant about this deal as there were so many varied reviews. Especially the most recent review from someone from Westbury, NY. As an avid NYC goer...and eater...and grouponer, I figured I'd take the chance on this deal for $87 per couple (bottle of wine, 1 appy, 1 entrée, dessert, coffee)...on SUPERBOWL weekend. Had no problem making... More
