Indian cuisine served with new creativity... Mind blowing food!!!

We went here for dinner to celebrate a special day... Had read that it's a specialty chef restaurant and thus were looking forward with high expectations and we were pleasantly surprised by the food. In a city with many Indian restaurants, this one most definitely ranks as one of the best we have been too. Highly recommend!

Gorgeous and quite a large place in my old neighborhood of Chelsea. Fine cocktails at the bar and twenty minutes later a table in the heart of the restaurant, perfect. Service extremely professional and like most fine manhattan places friendly. I had wonderful Lamb Chops Tandoor, Victoria the Punjabi Kadi: Handi, a vegetable chick pea dish, that was better than... This is simply the best Indian restaurant in New York. There is nothing further to say. The lamb chops are the best that I have had anywhere in the world, including the best Indian Michelin starred restaurants in London. This is a must go to. Nothing else compares.

With a Michelin star and good reviews we aspected a nice evening with good food - but we were disappointed. The food was good, but not extraordinaire as you can expect with the pricing and the star. The appetisers were really good, we had the piri-piri shrimps and the cauliflower, but the mains were more ordinarie indian food. We even... More

Our experience certainly didn't live up to Junoon's reputation. Upon arriving with an older child, who was well-behaved and appropriately dressed, the hostess asked us if anyone had informed us that children were not allowed in the dining room. No, no one had. The website doesn't mention the no children policy. When we made the reservation no one informed us... More

Visited this restaurant for dinner on New Years Day and found it to be overpriced and overrated . Food was very ordinary and portions quite small .

Not sure if it still holds the star, but this is definitely upscale Indian. Seen a few negative reviews - not sure what they're complaining about. I've had a lot of Indian all over the world and this is pretty good. We've been here twice for lunch, both times with our toddler. Kids aren't allowed in the main dining area... More

Every once in a while, a restaurant shocks and leaves you infuriated - Junoon will definitely qualify for that honour. We were in the vicinity and decided to visit Junoon, keeping in mind it's celebrity chef and the totally underserved one Michelin star it holds. I was not enamored by the decor - it was nice, nothing outstanding. The main... More
