Gorgeous and quite a large place in my old neighborhood of Chelsea. Fine cocktails at the bar and twenty minutes later a table in the heart of the restaurant, perfect. I love this restaurant. The food is amazing and creative. The wines and sommelier are top notch. The service is fabulous. And I love the ambiance. Have been here many times and have never been disappointed.

First the good. Service is very good and courteous. From the person in the front to the coat check to the servers, everyone was very polite, friendly, and professional. I may be somewhat harsh but I gave it 2 stars only because I felt the food is so underwhelming. We tried a variety of dishes and while they were inventive,... More

This was more than just a meal, it was an unforgettable dining experience. We had booked a table from Australia before heading to NYC in Feb. and it was without not just the best Indian cuisine we have eaten, but the finest dining experience. The attention giving by everyone from wait staff right through to the Manager who personally welcomed... More

We went last Thursday for restaurant week - it is our third time here and the food has been, each time, some of the best I have ever eaten. The service is impeccable. The food is out of this world. Everything. We have always done the wine pairings, and the sommelier was knowledgeable and picked perfectly.

We stopped here for lunch on a recommendation, however wish we give it a miss! For a start the welcome wasn't very welcoming, which should have warned us off there and then! Putting that aside we ordered the food and drinks, the starters were not that warm. The main not that much better, what made it worse my wife ordered... More

We went here for dinner to celebrate a special day... Had read that it's a specialty chef restaurant and thus were looking forward with high expectations and we were pleasantly surprised by the food. Indian food served with so much art and tasted so nice and different from the regular flavor. It was delicious. we had ordered a chipotle chicken... More

In a city with many Indian restaurants, this one most definitely ranks as one of the best we have been too. Highly recommend!

This is simply the best Indian restaurant in New York. There is nothing further to say. The lamb chops are the best that I have had anywhere in the world, including the best Indian Michelin starred restaurants in London. This is a must go to. Nothing else compares.

Staying in Flatiron District

Neighborhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of the city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets - much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighborhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being home to a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
