Great Alternative

So I finally get a chance to eat at Junoon. I was impressed as you walk in. Great decor and space has been utilized well. I have nothing negative to say as the food, service was excellent. Tried quite a few appetizers as well entree. I can truly say very well done Indian food. Spices were very... read more

We had been invited for a business dinner. The ambience is very nice and is a big place with lot of people. Service is prompt. But we didn't enjoy the food. We ordered Dal makhani, bindi, cauliflower and nan. Desserts which was seasonal kulfi were below average.

So exited to visit the restaurant as I had heard so much about it and chef Vikas Khanna. The interiors are beautiful.Menu is limited. We tried a chicken kebab. lamb Chops,Gobi nSaag bhurji. Chicken was good ,Lamb though tender was lacking its flavour.Combo of gobi with saag though unusual is not very great. Not easy on your pocket but Go ! Since... More

Nice space well decorated, going gently into the realm of flamboyance.. in many ways it feels almost as if you are at a restaurant in India. The food is quite delicious, particularly the meets and vegetables. The breads need improvement. We had roti and naan and I honestly couldn't differentiate the two- unless they just forgot to give us the... More

The place is beautifully decorated, there's tons of PR personnel greeting customers at the tables, the waitress and helpers were very nice and took care of all our needs, the food was out of this world, I usually eat with my husband at an Indian restaurant in every city we visit and this is by far the best one we... I love this restaurant. The food is amazing and creative. The wines and sommelier are top notch. The service is fabulous. And I love the ambiance. Have been here many times and have never been disappointed.

First the good. Service is very good and courteous. From the person in the front to the coat check to the servers, everyone was very polite, friendly, and professional. I may be somewhat harsh but I gave it 2 stars only because I felt the food is so underwhelming. We tried a variety of dishes and while they were inventive,... More

This was more than just a meal, it was an unforgettable dining experience. We had booked a table from Australia before heading to NYC in Feb. and it was without not just the best Indian cuisine we have eaten, but the finest dining experience. The attention giving by everyone from wait staff right through to the Manager who personally welcomed... More

We went last Thursday for restaurant week - it is our third time here and the food has been, each time, some of the best I have ever eaten. The service is impeccable. The food is out of this world. Everything. We have always done the wine pairings, and the sommelier was knowledgeable and picked perfectly.

Staying in Flatiron District

Neighborhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of the city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets - much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighborhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being home to a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
