Best Fine Dining Indian

Indian food with a bit of twist. Its the best gourmet Indian food I've ever eaten. The ambience and service are really good.

Our meal could not have gone more wrong. It started when our group of 12 was seated at two separate tables. I took a look in the the main dining room where there was ample seating to accommodate us, but instead we were seated in the front lounge. When I asked the hostess if she could move some tables around... More

We were in NYC for the Madonna concert and needed somewhere to eat beforehand. We there turned to Tripadvisor (again!) and came across this restaurant. Based on the reviews we booked (via the Internet). On our arrival we were met by a very friendly front desk and then escorted through to a beautifully decorated restaurant with views into the kitchen.... More

We all wanted a spicy, delightful meal and especially my friend from India was craving home food. So I suggested Junoon but hadn't made any reservations and had never been. A little wait to be seated but once there, the ambience and service topped the charts. The space is well designed and great for fine dining. Very good food and... More

EVERY customer should be treated alike . We requested for a corner seat, which was available at that time, but were denied those. A random waiter arrived at our table with drinks that werent meant for us, leaving us confused for a bit. The starters arrived around 20 mins after ordering and were such small quantities that they were a... More

I am no great fan of Indian food, but the food at Junoon is so good I was completely won over. The restaurant is classy, with prices to match. The service is possibly the best I have had in New York and the food is delicious, not the least bit heavy or overly spiced. I recommend Junoon highly. It surely... More

Visiting Junoon today with a couple of business colleagues and opted for their 3 course lunch menu. Being a vegetarian I ordered: Eggplant Chaat - Perfectly crispy, lightly spiced to perfection, the sauces were genuine - full of flavour - 10/10 Paneer Curry with Naan - Too spicy and very ordinary. This could be just another paneer curry at any... More

The lamb chops were by far the best I've ever had. Very satisfying. Highly recommend it. Authentic flavors in a modern presentation and assembly.

I always had a dream of visiting this restaurant as I am an ardent fan of Chef Vikas Khanna as I regularly watch his food shows on television in India.. It was indeed a dream come true for me when I visited the restaurant with family and friends this month.. The ambience was perfect and we started off with drinks...... More

Staying in Flatiron District

Neighborhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of the city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets - much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighborhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being home to a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
