With a Michelin star and good reviews we aspected a nice evening with good food - but we were disappointed. The food was good, but not extraordinaire as you can expect with the pricing and the star. The appetisers were really good, we had the piri-piri shrimps and the cauliflower, but the mains were more ordinarie indian food. We even... More

Our experience certainly didn't live up to Junoon's reputation. Upon arriving with an older child, who was well-behaved and appropriately dressed, the hostess asked us if anyone had informed us that children were not allowed in the dining room. No, no one had. The website doesn't mention the no children policy. When we made the reservation no one informed us... More

Visited this restaurant for dinner on New Years Day and found it to be overpriced and overrated . Food was very ordinary and portions quite small .

Not sure if it still holds the star, but this is definitely upscale Indian. Seen a few negative reviews - not sure what they're complaining about. I've had a lot of Indian all over the world and this is pretty good. We've been here twice for lunch, both times with our toddler. Kids aren't allowed in the main dining area... More

Every once in a while, a restaurant shocks and leaves you infuriated - Junoon will definitely qualify for that honour. We were in the vicinity and decided to visit Junoon, keeping in mind it's celebrity chef and the totally underserved one Michelin star it holds. I was not enamored by the decor - it was nice, nothing outstanding. The main... More

My spouse and I dined at Junoon for brunch on a Sunday afternoon in late November 2014. We made a reservation online using the Open Table reservation system. Junoon, whose name means “passion”, is open for lunch and dinner daily. Restaurateur Rajesh Bhardwaj owns Junoon. Junoon is located in the Chelsea/Flatiron neighborhood of Manhattan on West 24th Street between 6th... More

Yes... I'm going to say it out loud.... this one of the best meals I've ever had. It's Indian food, but I would call it Indian Fusion, although that just sounds so pretentious. Just walking in the door, you know this will be a special meal. It's a very sexy restaurant, especially the entrance. The service is unbelievable. The food... More

I have travelled extensively in India, and always enjoy the delicious food, so I know authenticity when it comes to Indian cuisine. At Junoon, I was served bland, dry, slightly burnt (as opposed to charred) chicken. It had no flavour at all, and certainly no Indian spice had been used. The "pilau" rice was just plain boiled, and cold and... More
