In NYC on business but catching up with friends wanted somewhere a little more homely to take the New Yorkers !! This place offered a taste of Britain for sure... not all the dishes were overly scottish but the Seraed Scallops were divine (although I like my black pudidng in slices not crumbled), The Bangers and Mash with a twist... This is a great place to go with friends to relax and have a great meal and fabulous cocktails. They have an extensive scotch menu but the drink selected for me was called The Lady Of The Lake. A wonderful heather infused vodka with lemon bitters. I recomend it highly. Our waitress, unfortunately I forget her name, was very nice... More

Not sure what to expect, we were pleasntly surprised by MQS. The restaurant was spacious and well-decorated. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. And, the meals were delicious; would heartily recommend the Venison Wellington. The beer, wine and single malts were all perfect and we left very happy that we had dropped in.

This lovely little restaurant was recommended by my New Yorker cousin, so the whole family went to celebrate my Aunt's birthday. The welcome was warm and friendly, and the ambience and the menu (although not particularly Scottish fayre) were wonderful. I had the Venison Wellington, which was some of the best I've tasted and cooked to a medium rare. Just... More

We were planning a night out of drinking and a friend recommended this restaurant since it was close to our final destination. We got in early, so we did not need a reservation, but the place quickly filled up. My wife described it as a "dimly lit library with drinks." The drink list was outstanding and the menu reasonable for... More

The name implies a pub and its listed in many tour books as a gastropub, but it is so much more than just a Scottish pub. The decor, lighting and ambiance is dark, inviting and intimate but very nice. Never pretentious. Our waitress, Ariana, was lovely and very knew her menu very well. Food selection is not comfort Scottish food... More
