Really loved this restaurant. It was a cold, blustery night and we couldn't have picked a cozier location for a good dinner. The menu is lots of fun - with Scottish dishes as well as other choices for picky eaters. The service was very friendly too - helping to advise without being pushy. Last of all - for a nice... More

Went there for drinks with friends while visiting NYC. Drinks and nibbles were okay, but service was poor and slow! One of the waitress was polite and attentive, but unfortunately she was the only one and after have spent $180,00 we got chased down the street by the waiter because we forgot to leave a tip!!! He questioned if that... More

Hoping to have a good time in New York, I brought my friends from London to this bar. After the terrible service I will never come back again. The place has a totally wrong view of the way you should treat your client. My family is coming to visit me soon and I don't know yet where I will take... More

We're visiting new York for just one week and highland was on our list after we spotted the place it looked just what we were looking for. We enjoyed cocktails and nibbles and I must say the brunette waitress was very attentive however our whole evening was ruined after we were chads down the street by a waiter!!!! A waiter... More

Loved Highlands for its risotto, wine selection and cocktails. Cosy yet fun atmosphere with a good looking crowd and great staff who were happy and professional with a purpose of making everyone have an enjoyable experience.

Lively crowd that night, mixture of young locals and a good smattering of ex-pats. The whisky selection is so large, it has a very well written catalogue to help with choosing. The staff know their scotch and can help you make a choice. It can get very busy but stays lively without being so loud as to be unbearable.

We sat out front under the canopy where the heaters were working and there was a slight rain. We shared the rib eye for two which was served to our liking, The waiter was attentive and courtesy.

My review is slightly biased. I have been to the restaurant on multiple occasions, but have not really ordered anything other than the risotto and the beef wellington. Both are out of this world! I really love going here and I am perfectly satisfied that I don't know the rest of the menu all that well. Even the waitress commented... More

Great spot with good food, craft cocktails, spirits and a good atmosphere for dinner. Lots of good table-sized appetizers like the whiskey bread and scotch egg. We also ordered the sweet potato chips off of the sides menu and they were a great starter. Good entrees all around. Solid menu. If you want haggis, ask for it, they may have... More
