Good food, huge choice of whiskey, many people, loud good music, you don't ask for more. Crowdy at night as the bar should be. Reccomended

I don't come here as often as I would like, but every time I do it never disappoints. I love the fun gastropub look & feel. Come early bc past 10pm or 10:30pm on a Saturday evening it becomes more of a bar-lounge than a restaurant. The food itself with the Scottish influence is amazing & the drinks are quite... More

My friend and I stumbled upon this place, and I'm happy we did. Both of our meals we're excellent, as were the drinks. The atmosphere is warm and comforting, and not overly loud. I'll be back!

We have tried to eat at this place twice before with our two Children and both occasions we walked away due to a poor experience on entry. This time was different. For starters we dined on a Sunday evening around 8pm and previously we had targeted busier times and days. Lesson learned. My wife and I had two simple, good... More

You should come here for one of the following reasons: - you love scotch whisky: the place has a HUGE selection of them! - you like bar food: the lobster sliders are delicious and so is the blue crab over toast - you want a real bar: yes, old school, vintage decor and the weirdest WC wallpaper ever. A must... More

We visited here for dinner during our stay in Manhattan and I had booked a table online before we arrived. The atmosphere was excellent, the decor and surroundings comfortable and authentic. The food itself was delicious and the staff efficient, polite and very helpful. We didn't feel rushed and took our time. My husband certainly enjoyed the Belhaven on offer,... More

Came here to meet a friend while I was in the city on business. Both of us are big whisky fans so he recommended this place. The food was decent but the whisky selection is incredible. The wait staff knows their stuff too when asked about different ones. I had a flight and they were all wonderful. The whisky bread... More

After missing our original booking to Highlands because our flight to NY was delayed, we went round at about 9.45pm to see if they could still take us. They were very welcoming and we got a table easily. As it was late, we just had a small starter and main course, both of which were freshly made and very tasty.... More

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
