Good wine selection, reasonably priced, and great menu

We arrived about 7pm and had a table for four by the window. The wine list was very good and we were able to choose a lovely Italian red at a price well below what we had encountered in many other local restaurants. The service was friendly and efficient. We chose the salmon, the cod, a spicy pasta... read more

GREAT place. Excellent atmosphere and great location. Not too easy to find as it is tucked away up stairs but Google lead me straight to it. Fantastic food with a fantastic price point. We had 8 people in our group, with a few bottles of wine and some beer as well we only ran a tab of just over $620... More

Brunch with friends in the city on a gorgeous September morning - pricey. Getting to watch your husband and brother in law catch up with friends they haven't seen in 50 years? Priceless!! Excellent service certainly. Seven choices for brunch - most but not all deemed "excellent". Would we go back! Probably not but the camaraderie will make the day... More

Hit this bar at happy hour, my daughter and I had had a great day in the city and wanted to chill with a wine or two before heading off for a jazz evening. We were not felt welcome, which has been the opposite to every other venue we have been to. It was as if we were dismissed because... More

Located on the second floor, this is a great stop for great wine. THe happy hour is a good deal, and we enjoyed a shared pizza with drinks. An amazing wine list and the staffvery friendly.

Well, you could easily miss this place at 913 Broadway.. Here's the secret: find Punch and look up! The food was very good, the service attentive, the wine list very good and the atmosphere cool but not so cool as to be aloof or indifferent. It seems connected to the restaurant Punch downstairs. As NYC goes, the prices were very... More

This place was recommended to us as a nice place to meet for wine and conversation. We got there around 6 pm and were seated in a table by a window overlooking Broadway. The wine list was complete and the prices are reasonable. The wait staff was very knowledgable and helped us make a very delicious selection. We were having... More

My girlfriend and I stumbled upon this place and had one of our best evenings in NYC. Courteous and responsive staff, nicely dimly lit (yes with candles), off course a nice selection of wines and a good selection of bites to match your wines. Yes, the price per glass starts at about 14 dollar, we luckily had a few great... More

I'm so glad that we came across this restaurant. The food and service were excellent. I went here with my husband. Ambiance is nice, lots of candles and drapes, so it was romantic for us. We shared a bottle of wine. We started with a cheese plate with three different cheeses, all very good (just wish I knew which one... More

Staying in Flatiron District

Neighborhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of the city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets - much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighborhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being home to a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
