We had good look in the West Village the night before, so we decided to try the area again. There were a few restaurants on our radar, but it being Sunday and short notice, this was the only place that could take us. And we're glad they could! It's a delightful, small, casual restaurant that serves mussels, mussels and more... More

I tracked this place down while visiting in NYC and I was not disappointed. The restaurant is somewhat small...but it is welcoming. When we first walked in (right when it opened), the host asked if I had reservations, I said no...and he kind of had this "OH" response...Puhleez, the restaurant is empty! What's up with the dumb response? Anyhow, the... More

I recently starting to love mussels and was told by a friend there was a place we had to go the next time I was in NY. Sure enough, flex did not disappoint and went beyond my wildest expectations. The servers are fun, young and keep you smiling the entire time. They have a great wine menu, and the atmosphere... More

We started the evening with a half a dozen oysters. So fresh and delicious. Followed by a 'casserole' filed with excellent mussels, Really the only good way to serve mussels. French fries are also very good. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. Mussels come from Prince Edward Island and are really, really delicious, the chefs at Flex Mussels really know... More

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed a fantastic meal at Flex Mussels. We started with a half dozen oysters and crab cakes. The oysters were delish and the crab cakes were outstanding - perfectly cooked; crunchy on the outside and tender and moist on the inside. We both ordered mussels - I had the special - Puttanesca and my husband... More

We came here on a Sunday and the place was pretty busy, so make reservations. I prdered the provencial, and they were easily the best ive ever had, they manage to make something so "standard" taste amazing. It starts off with the fresh, meaty mussels from pei they use. The waiter was great. He gave us samples of the different... More

This is my go to spot in NYC for mussels and fries! PEI oysters when they have them are delicious as well! I would definitely recommend the "Parma" mussels, Truffle Fries, and salted caramel doughnuts for dessert!!! Very cozy atmosphere, and excellent food. Enjoy!

Came here for a friend's birthday. I was never a big fan of mussels until I got to try mussels in all different soups. I loved it! Their desserts were decent.

You don't need to travel to Prince Edward Island (PEI) for exceptional mussels. Flex Mussels (13th St near 7th Ave, NYC) imports them from their own family farms there and steams them to perfection. No grit, no hint of staleness, no meager serving, no snooty servers. The most tasty broths and crusty breads are part of the treat. A personal... More

My husband and I visited the 13th street location and were not disappointed. We ordered the Thai mussels since it seemed to be recommended the most and they were amazing. This was our favorite restaurant from our trip from the oysters to the ambiance and service to the donuts for dessert! My only recommendation is to save the bread for... More
