Description: An Ofrenda, in Spanish, is an offering, a gift. At their cozy West Village space, owner Jorge Guzman and Chef Mario Hernandez offer their unique interpretation of classic Mexican cuisine with an innovative cocktail menu of tequila-based drinks. Named by NYLuxury as “one of the top ten restaurants in New York serving Latin food” and as “Top Tequila Bar in the US” by the editors of USA Today, this intimate and stylish cocina offers its guests a blend of passions. Jorge’s desire is to create a sexy and fun space to enjoy creative cocktails with the best of Latin cuisine. While Chef Mario’s dream is to craft dishes to showcase the indigenous ingredients of Mexico, the foods his ancestors enjoyed, and bring those flavors to a new generation. This team has joined forces to offer guests a unique dining experience. We look forward to having you.

I stopped in at a large sidewalk cafe offering $4 Margaritta's all day. Once sip and I knew why even at that price there was hardly anyone in the place. Across the street was a Mexican restaurant with a packed sidewalk seating area so I moved over. Ofrenda is at 113 7th Avenue South near Sheridan Square. It is small... More

I love the food, atmosphere, location. Downside seating is tight inside and somewhat limited. Food is a joy, not typical everyday Gringo-style mexican but well thought-out upscale Mexican food that has never disappointed.

Do not go there. It's just not worth the money. We had booked a table but still got to wait a good while just standing there. The volume of the local is terrible, you can not hold a conversation in there. They are trying to squeeze as much people as possible in to that small space and then rush them... More

Meandering through Greenwich, we happened by this tiny Mexican restaurant and enjoyed a really nice meal. Busy little place, great atmosphere at the bar and Igor the bartender was friendly and made us an excellent spicy shot post dinner. I will go again when in the area!

We chose Ofrendas for brunch and we liked it very much. Was it not for the family vote where our son simply dislikes Mexican food, we would have given a five. Two final notes: 1) try the Fish Tacos, sounds strange but is great 2) the men's room must be the nicest on Manhattan!

Stopped by here after a LONG sunday brunch to keep the 'party' going. It was 4 of us and a little early for dinner so it wasn't crowded and they had their happy hour menu. The quesadillas and nacho's where amazing. You don't get a lot of nachos but man does it make up in the quality. Quac was also... More

The tacos at this place are awesome. It’s a little pricey in my opinion but the food will never disappoint!

We were booked to have brunch at a nearby restaurant with friends only to arrive and find that they were having mechanical issues in the kitchen. The bartender suggested we try Ofrenda and we are glad he made the recommendation. We arrived a few minutes before the were officially open but they let us in and started us with a... More

We always THINK about trying another place and never can seem to do it because when you find a place that is THAT good - why bother? Jorge and his team are amazing from drinks to apps to main dish to desserts to after drinker drinks... Hands down, the best. The flavor combos are so unique and delicious. The staff... More

We needed a quick bite before a set at Small's Jazz club a block away. Had just seen a Broadway show, and were in that odd hour.. around 6:30 for a set starting at 7:00. The doorman steered us to Ofrenda as a place that had small plates. As it turns out, we were just in time for the happy... More
