Classic Remedy to Hunger

With a classic and comfortable diner interior, extensive menu, and good service, we enjoyed a very nice breakfast at a reasonable price. Straightforward and unpretentious!

Called in to have a quick bite before flying out. The place is typical American diner style with plenty of space and staff. I ordered a toasted corn beef and cheese sandwich. The sandwich was over stuffed with meat and the bread was toasted but soft. The food was only okay. Perhaps pancakes may have been a better idea.

Nice place to have breakfast or brunch. Good quality/ price relationship. Had the lumberjack breakfast and it was good. The pancakes were a little over cooked and they changed them for me. We also had delivery after that, the modern Cuban sandwich and a salad. Both were fine, and prices are good for New York.

Just the job for us after a New Year's Eve celebration. We had brunch and it was just what we needed! This is a great place to get the American diner experience with such welcoming staff and great tasting food. By the time we left, people were queuing outside to get in.

I've only ever ordered desserts from here, usually for delivery, and they are delicious! German Chocolate Cake, Red Velvet, Cheesecake, Banana Cream Pie, Pecan Pie - all excellent, reasonably priced, fresh, big portions, delivered asap too. I've been to the restaurant once and it's fine - a diner - but I love to order from them on Seamless or Delivery.com.

Remedy Diner is exactly the sort of breakfast spot I love when coming to New York. An extensive menu, everything on it was huge portions but cooked to perfection. The diner itself felt fairly traditional (in my mind) to what a great American diner should be. No particular frills but comfortable and fairly well laid out. Seemingly unlimited ways to... More

Hash browns had too much green pepper in them and weren't crispy. Chocolate chip pancakes were good and plentiful for price.

Simple, unpretensious diner round the corner from the apartment we were staying in for a week long trip to NY. Recommended.

I went here with jetlag at 11.30pm after a 23hr trip and loved sitting in the booth with an ice tea and grilled cheese sandwich. If you want that diner experience this is a great place to go. It's not expensive and you get a lot of food. Can't complain about a thing.

We went there for a brunch on a weekend with no idea where to go. Huge portion of pancakes and eggs benedict. The food was good and tasty.

Staying in Lower East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Lower East Side
Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving immigrant past and its modern transformation into a beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side is one of the most dynamic neighborhoods in the city. The blocks of tenements that represented the promise and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience now command top dollar for new residents. Right next to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment shops of Orchard Street, you’ll find hip clubs, fashionable bistros, and luxury hotels beckoning at all hours of the evening. If you love nightlife and live music, it’s hard to beat the scene here.
