My wife and I stopped here before last Saturday's Crossroads Guitar Festival at the Garden. We didn't have a reservation and opted to sit at the bar. Armando took great care of us; we split a pasta dish and a salad, both very, very tasty. For what it's worth Armando pours a nice drink as well.

Came here for dinner. The place wasn't busy, exactly what we were looking for. Inexpensive, beautiful, and romantic atmosphere! The service was exxellent! Food was fresh and came out fast. I had Risotto al Frutti di Mare (Seafood Risotto), which was very delicious. He had Gnocchi di Patate al Pesto do Basilico which was ok. Italian Tiramisu was very good... More

We found Il Punto randomly because it was advertised on the back of the program for the National Comedy Theatre. Soo glad we tried it! I've been to NYC many many times and this is one of the best restaurants we've been to in the city. The menu has authentic Italian cuisine with a twist, some really unique menu items.... More

Been travelling since 5am and I just wanted to go to bed but was persuaded to go for dinner, so glad I did. Husband and I shared a wild boar starter, he had red snapper, I had lasagne, all delicious! Only gripe was that they added on 20% gratuity without asking, but would probably left that anyway, would def visit... More

Nice Italian restaurant somewhat off the tourist beat, close to the Javits Convention Center. Had dinner here after a day at the convention center with our visitor from Italy, so a lot of Italian was flying about the room! Whether or not that contributed to the exceptional service or not is anybody's guess. Food was done well, recipes were very... More

This Italian restaurant had a lot going for it! Their house Chianti is fantastic! I ordered the grilled salmon with julienne vegetables and I wasn't disappointed. Also, the waiter brought us a fantastic bread basket along with a complimentary serving of bruschetta. It was a bit pricey - $80 with tip for two. My business associate and I each had... More

Just got back from a getaway weekend in NYC. Was looking for a relaxed but upscale place for a good dinner and found just what we were looking for at Il Punto. Great but not obsessive service, creative menu, and a laid back atmosphere that made for a memorable evening.
